The BET Awards were just held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and it was a bittersweet show this year due to the sudden passing of
Michael Jackson. Personally, the most poignant moment was
Beyonce performing "Arms Of An Angel" in remembrance, but you also had other knock-out performers like as Jay-Z, gospel duo Mary Mary,
Keri Hilson and Monica. Some favorites won: Beyonce for Best Female R&B Artist, Ne-Yo for Best Male R&B, Keri Hilson walked away with 'Best New Artist' and Lil' Wayne is still on top with a 'Best Male Hip-Hop Artist win. Great, but no real surprises there! Aside from the big celeb names, fist-pumping performances and musical memories, stars were also lighting up the red carpet and showing it off pre-show! Many of the men cleaned up nicely, but it was the women that did the real show-stopping and head-turning. Beyonce showed some leg in a marbled Balmain dress,
Alicia Keys looked confident and sexy in a sari-inspired
tunic, and Keri Hilson made a bold statement in a pop-art, mosaic strapless sheath
