Acknowledged as the city containing the most skilled manufactures and the highest quality clothing, it comes as no surprise that this season's Milan Fashion Week was marked by truly timeless looks crafted with the utmost precision and consideration, the types that will still be relevant if worn to fashion week five years from now or fifty. The 70€™s were a strong reference point for many designers. The Gucci collection- titled €˜Gucci Boho€™ provided an array of billowy peasant blouses, fringes, earthy hues, paisley silk dresses; D&G veered away from ensembles suited for the jet-setting high-class party girl in favor of a more modest, conservative, hippie-inspired collection with featuring bell bottoms, hippie Mongolian lamb vests, loose tunics, plaids and tweed; and Roberto Cavalli€™s Just Cavalli collection was a mix of high-glam and haute hippie with high-waisted pants, tailored plaid tunics, bell bottom trousers, and free-flowing billowy dresses all incorporating earth-inspired hues.
