Label Love: Jasmin Shokrian Redefines LA Fashion

When I think of LA style, the first things that pop into my head are the jean skirts, tank tops, and Uggs or the boho chic style made famous by Olsen sisters and Nicole Richie. In other words, nothing avant garde. Designer Jasmin Shokrian is looking to change all that. Jasmin graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in film, painting, and sculpture. Her artistic background led her to create one of a kind pieces to a full collection. In 2005, she won the prestigious Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award joining the likes of Zac Posen and Proenza Schouler. Even the First Lady Michelle Obama is a fan of Jasmin's designs! Her garments are a nod to her background in sculpture with clean lines with a neutral color palette in silk and wool. Grab her pieces quick because each garment is produced in limited numbers.
