A hand-forged steel trunk supports a recessed 1.5" thick polished marble tabletop in this one-of-a-kind occasional table. The trunk, leaves and roots are forged with a variety of welding processes, then tapered and textured with hand tools. The steel is wire-wheeled to a soft finish, and protected with clear lacquer.
