    Hot Beauty Ingredient: Argan Oil

What's the hottest new beauty ingredient of 2009? Argan oil. Never heard of it before? Well, you will soon since it's being used in all sorts of products from masks, moisturizers, balms, and body butters. Known for its miraculous healing and moisturizing properties, argan oil has proven to reduce the depth of fine lines and wrinkles resulting in an overall improvement in the skin's surface. This hard-to-find oil is from the argan tree located in a remote region south of Morocco, and is notoriously difficult to harvest, making it one of the most expensive oils on earth (take that Creme de la Mer). One of my favorites is Elemis Pro-Collegen Quartz Lift Mask ($81 at timetospa.com), it's like a take home facial that gives you that ten-year-younger face lift look and baby soft skin. PRIORI makes a great CoffeeBerry Body Emulsion ($70 at Prioriskincare.com) that tightens and firms your legs and body while reducing signs of aging. Looking for something good for you and the community? Then Kiehl's Superbly Restorative Skin Salve with Fairly-Traded Argan Oil ($25 at Kiehls.com) is the thing for you. Plus, it can even be used on your nails to soften cuticles and your hair to smooth split ends! Is there anything this miracle oil can't help?

Wash Away That Dry, Brittle, Winter-Ravaged Hair With These ...

Every year, winter has us putting on our favorite coat, bundling up in plush scarves, and grabbing for that cozy cap that might not exactly scream fashion, but instead, hides our not-so-hot hair--plus, now we can blame our bad hair day on having hat hair, right? It's a well-known fact that winter wears on your hair, leaving it dry, brittle and flat, but believe it or not, hats are not the only solution to this age-old beauty bust. This winter, combat fly-a-ways, dry scalp, frizzy ends, and brittle hair with moisturizing and revitalizing haircare products from your favorite brands like Paul Mitchell, Pureology, and Jonathan. So don't hide under hats or hoods this winter, tame your tresses with haircare products sure to save your strands this winter. Check out the slideshow to see some of our favorite haircare products!

Behind the Mask: Another Step in the Journey to Beautiful Skin

Some of you are lucky ducks and have super-low maintenance skin. You just wash with a bar of Ivory soap once a day and call it done €“ and still manage to look like Anne Hathaway just the same. Blech! Others, like myself, are constantly fighting an uphill battle to try to keep our skin tame and glowing. So this post is about a little experiment I did involving face masks. I wasn€™t using one but I felt like I needed to, so I picked one up slathered it on and now I am going to tell you all about it. Face masks can actually be sort of fun! Okay, maybe not the actual mask (unless you are using the Bioré self-warming mask, now those are neat) but what€™s fun is what you can do in one. A hot bath is fab while masking, the heat makes it seep oh-so-deep for an oh-so-clean result. Yummy! Then you can go the slumber party route and slap one on while your BFFs are over and scare people when they come to the door. Whatever the case, have fun because a mask is actually really relaxing.
