Zachary Pryor's Unique Jewelry Is Love At First Sight

    image

New York artist Jesse Utt travels to various spaces to showcase a spunky and shameless collection of wall-hanging artwork -- and makes jewelry-making look like child's play. As attractive as his artwork is on canvas, it's his Zachary Pryor accessories line that's so beguiling, we'd never want to take off. His earrings and necklaces resemble a scrapbook collage of trunk collectibles that are a perfect way to add crafty edge to your style. Metal chains, color contrast and charms all lend a hand in shaping the tasteful trinkets that have found their way to the necks and wrists of art-loving A-listers like Mary-Kate Olsen and Avril Lavigne. Jesse, under the trade name Zachary Pryor (a name that covertly pays homage to his grandmother and plays off a name that he could've been donned at birth) has made wearing art -- and making a statement -- easy. While his past works feature canvas-mimicking illustrations, his most recent follow either a more industrial style that is loud and evocative, or a fierce, whimsical style with bright feathers. Catch some of the lust-worthy eye candy in this slideshow and fall in love with the originality of these essentially one-of-a-kind Zachary Pryor accessories!

Mary-Kate, Claudia, Diane or Zoe? Who Was Best Dressed At The ...

Metropolitan Opera recently celebrated their 125th anniversary with a star studded gala in Lincoln Center. The gala honored the opera's 125 year history with over four hours of brief arias to extended scenes, totaling 23 different operas in all! Best part is, the gala raised $6.3 million, which was much needed. However, you don't have to be a fan of the opera to appreciate the event. The red carpet was quite a scene as our favorite celebs came in extremely fashionable droves! From Ginnifer Goodwin, Claire Danes, and Kanye West, there sure was a lot of great clothes and personalities to admire. While it was tough to choose our favorites, we narrowed it down to just four and we want to know what you think? Were you a fan of Diane Kruger's glittering bustier with blue satin skirt? Or maybe Zoe Saldana's dark green silk chiffon strapless number was more your style. Or are you choosing between supermodel Claudia Schiffer and Mary-Kate Olsen who stuck to black that was anything but basic. Vote below and tell us what you think! Photo credit: PR Photos

    Steal Mary-Kate Olsen's Cozy-Chic Layered Look!

It can be difficult to look chic and polished during the winter months, when the temptation to bury yourself underneath piles of chunky layers is at an all-time high. The Olsen twins are a constant source of fashion inspiration for me and at the New York screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, funky sis Mary-Kate once again delivered a knockout performance with a look that was super stylish and totally cold-weather practical. Mary-Kate fended off the chill wearing a black dress, black velvet coat, and a funky leopard print Louis Vuitton scarf which added a pop of color to the monochrome look. She injected the look with some of her signature edge, sporting a pair of cut out booties by Proenza Schouler and accessorizing with some statement-making rings.

    Steal Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen's Minimalist-Chic Style!

In their new book Influence, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen get up close and personal with the people who, well, influenced them the most, which in turn rendered them a major fashion influence for all of us! While Mary-Kate's style is often classified as quirky and offbeat and Ashley's is seen as classic and minimal, these girls continue to mix it up and both have a knack for pulling off a range of looks. At a recent signing for the new book, Ashley kept is classic and sophisticated with an edgy twist, pairing an oxford top and leather leggings from The Row with towering Yves Saint Laurent pumps. Mary-Kate, on the other hand, kept it minimal and uncharacteristically subdued, donning a slouchy little black dress paired with black Yves Saint Laurent black double platform pumps.

Since it's holiday season, I'm gonna give you a mega dose of fashion inspiration with a two for the price of one style steal. Check out my SLIDESHOW to replicate each of these fabulous looks!

Thank God for books for fashionistas! This way, when you are at dinner parties and someone asks, "Read any good books lately?" You can go on and on about the Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent rivalry in Alicia Drake's The Beautiful Fall, or give style pointers from Tim Gunn's A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style. Or if you want go for something a little more light-hearted and fluffy, go for the fabulous literary piece of shameless self-promotion, That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between by Victoria Beckham. You can also show off your worldliness by talking shop about Harajuku style, referencing Style Deficit Disorder (I love that title). Whatever you choose, a fashion-centric book is always a good accessory to have that will not only make you look stylish, but smart as well. Because fashion isn't all about being catty and shallow €“ it's about being well read too. Check out these books that will make your bookshelf a little more fashionable in the slideshow, and for more gifts for your fashionista friends, check out my fashionable film recommendations!
