My favorite part of the Marc by Marc Jacobs store is perusing the special items section. There are plenty of cute items in a super affordable price range. For a student like me who's pretty much always on a tight budget it's nice to know that high end designers like Marc Jacobs don't forget about the little people, and still create items that I can snatch up without breaking the bank. Sometimes, all it takes is a little pick-me-up during the week to make everything better. That's why when I found this cracked heart compact mirror from Marc by Marc Jacobs I couldn't help but smile. 5 dollars and an endearing design? Count me in! This mirror will make all your worries disappear with its quirky cartoony design and cute imitation crack on the top. How can you not love these specialty items? Quite honestly, they're adorable.

Celebs just love showing off their wild sides, either by dating a head-to-toe covered in tattoos rocker, or by emulating the iconic (?) styles of such trendsetters (??) as Slash from Guns n' Roses. This trend is universal and inspires designers from every end of the designing food chain, from ultra sophisticated high-end labels like Chanel to grungy, edgy designers like Alexander Wang.
