Raw Natural Beauty makes a line of makeup that is all natural and created from the earth's minerals. All Raw Natural Beauty products are free of parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic preservatives, artificial colorants and fragrances. They're also never tested on animals. In addition, the ingredients which are imported from around the world are purchased from sources that practice sustainable agriculture, reject the use of pesticides and genetic engineering, are committed to the guidelines of Fair Trade Production and help support local farming companies. The Raw Minerals Discovery Kit pictured comes with everything you need to learn to use mineral makeup. Two shades of foundation are included and can be blended to perfectly match your skin tone. Customize your coverage to fit your needs by applying more as needed. Raw Minerals glides effortlessly onto your skin and leaves you with a flawless finish that will last all day- something a mom can truly appreciate.

Hot In The Hive: Blinc Eyebrow Mousse

For anyone who suffers from too-sparse brows (or is dealing with the consequences of past over-tweezing -- guilty!), I've got the perfect product to get your arches back to their full Brooke Shields potential (...or not quite so bushy). Blinc's "Fountain of Youthful Color" Eyebrow Mousse not only fills sparse brows with water-resistant, natural-looking color, but also keeps them in place the whole day through and treats skin with its anti-aging and conditioning properties. Plus it comes in six different colors -- from light blonde to black -- to suit just about anyone's brows. Unlike some products that either disappear halfway through the day or have you looking like you drew them on with a marker, this eyebrow mousse will stay put and look natural while it nourishes!

90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord collected kisses for the troops today as part of a Cosmopolitan and Maybelline New York Veteran's Day benefit event. Maybelline and Cosmo are donating $1 to the USO for each kiss collected between 7 AM and 7 PM in an attempt to set a new record for the number of kiss-stamped postcards to be sent overseas! If you're in the NYC area, catch the Cosmo vehicle and they'll provide you with their new ColorSensational lipstick, a postcard, and the opportunity to write a message. The postcards will then be delivered to military bases overseas on New Year's Eve, so the troops will get kisses at midnight! Click over to Cosmo to see the list of locations where you can participate, and you'll get to try a new product and brighten someone's day in the process.

Leave it to Stila to create yet another must-have beauty item. Known for their fun colors and innovative multi-tasking formulas, Stila's smudge pots and lip glazes have earned the company a loyal following. Not to be outdone with their fabulously helpful talking eye palettes, they've recently come out with a product that speaks to both my beauty obsessed and geeky personalities! The Stila makeup player can be described as a train case, sound system and your own private makeup artist all in one. Tone Down The Shimmer This Season With Matte Grey Makeup Shades

    image
Alex Gambardella on Nov 5, 2009 4:19 PM PST
Say so long to pearlescent gunmetal and chromed-out silvers -- matte grey is the hot beauty shade for the chilly season ahead! Matte nails have already taken the beauty world by storm, but now other makeup products are following in hot pursuit! From soft stone gray to rich chalky charcoal, there's something about matte grey that gives the face an unexpected warmer look than the more common frosty silver shades. While I've noticed that grey shadow seems to bring the best out of green peepers, it's hard to find someone who can't pull off a dark slate eyeliner in place of your basic black. Plus, mattifying your lids leaves room for shimmer elsewhere (ie: cheeks or lips) and helps ensure a balance so that your face doesn't end up looking like a shiny disco ball! Watch the slideshow for a series of grey shades to consider adding to your cosmetics collection!
