So far, Season 8 of American Idol has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions and surprises. To name just a few, we've seen tension with the addition of new judge Kara DioGuardi, the surprise announcement of a top 13 instead of the traditional 12 (yay Anoop!), the premature elimination of pint-sized powerhouse Alexis Grace, the introduction of the judges' power to save one contestant from the looming doom of dismissal, and Paula Abdul's inability to complete a coherent sentence (okay, so that's no surprise). One thing that has remained consistent however, is Stylehive's favorite part of the show -- contestant makeovers! We saw former Idol favorites Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood go from drab to fab from their seasons' auditions to their final stages, and the show's Glam Squad, a team of stylists that help shop for looks for the show's performances and results shows, is once again having their way with this year's finalists (and boy did some of them need it)! From Anoop Desai's transformation from nerdy college kid to urban RnB star-in-the-making to Matt Giraud's reworked wardrobe to match his Justin Timberlake sound-alike voice, this season's Idol hopefuls are not only turning out to be the most lovable set of singers, but the most stylish too! Don't forget to watch the show on this week's special day and time tomorrow, Wednesday at 8, to see how the Top 10 fare in performance and poshness, and in the meantime check out the slideshow for more pictures of this season's Glam Squad makeovers!
