I’ll admit that my understanding of the inner workings of the male mind is sort of limited. However, that doesn’t mean you should discard the suggestions I provide in my weekly date-night articles because let me tell you, I do my homework. In addition to soliciting tips and probing the minds of every one of my guy friends, their friends, and pretty much every dude that crosses my path, I also make sure to ask every male celebrity for his take on what makes a girl look sexy and what they like to see their ladies wearing on a date. Sure I have to deal with the fact that they usually interpret this as me hitting on them, but it’s all in the name of research! I don’t know how many of you watched the show Make Me A Supermodel. I was given the chance to interview all the cast-offs plus the show’s co-host, Tyson Beckford, and made sure to find out what gets their pulses racing a little faster. Let’s see what they had to say, shall we?

On the show Make Me A Supermodel, host Niki Taylor always seems so soft spoken and sweet. And this isn’t just an act for the cameras- I’ve interviewed her several times and she’s almost unfathomably nice! To celebrate the final episode, which airs tonight, we had all you hivers call the shots and come up with questions to ask Niki and Tyson. So far we’ve heard what they had to say about the modeling industry, what it takes to make it, the contestants, and so forth, but you all wanted to delve a little deeper, and wanted to know what Niki is REALLY like. Stylehive: How is modeling different today than when you started? Niki: Well it’s just a totally different generation all together. On the show Make Me A Supermodel, the contestants are told week after week that the modeling industry is fraught with rejection and no matter how hot you are, you WILL hear the word no, a lot. According to show co-host Tyson Beckford, it’s not the face or body, it’s skin that can make or break the model: “A thick skin is definitely most important because you’ve gotta be able to take rejection.” That’s fine and dandy, but how exactly does one develop this confidence to handle the rejection and keep going? You guys wanted to know, so we asked. Read on for Tyson’s answer. Stylehive: How do you deal with all the rejection in the modeling industry and develop the confidence to just keep going? Tyson: It just comes from anything that you do, like how do you get the confidence to do what you do, you know? You just gotta find that confidence within and just pull through if you want it bad enough. I think a lot of people that try to get into the business give up a little too soon.
