When money is tight, it can be hard to stun your peers with your stellar fashion sense. Well, fashion is like a chameleon-- it changes quickly, and adapts to everything around us, so when your fashionista within needs a good pick-me-up but you've got little money to spend, what do you do? First and foremost, focus on accessories! No matter where you go, when it comes to shopping for earrings versus shopping for a dress, it's the latter that will likely cause your ATM card to groan more. My favorite things to add to rejuvenate any outfit are bold earrings, and whether they're big, colorful, or just downright weird, there's always the perfect earring out there to make any outfit complete- and plenty of cheap, cute options at that. Check out my slideshow to find plently of modestly priced ear candy that's guaranteed to make any outfit!

Psst...TJ Maxx And Marshalls Carry The Same Designer ...

Most people don't realize that both TJMaxx and Marshalls carry famous designer overruns, and not just past season or damaged merchandise (and by "designer," I don't mean Juicy Couture, though you'll find a fair amount of that as well. Think more along the lines of Marc Jacobs, Valentino, and Missoni, plus tons of premium denim, and- gasp!- Prada.) Literally, goods are cut and sewn for high-end boutiques or department stores and if there are order cancellations or extras, TJMaxx and Marshalls scoop them up. Need an example? These two models went shopping last week and bought exactly the same outfit with exactly the same labels. One spent $711.96 at a big not-to-be-named dept. store, while the other scored the same duds at TJMaxx and Marshalls for a not-so-grand total of $376.95. My advice? Hit TJMaxx or Marshalls FIRST, before you go to the department stores. It's amazing, and particularly in this economy, more and more of the best stuff is in TJMaxx and Marshalls because the higher end stores aren't moving their inventory and are canceling orders from manufacturers at the last minute-- and Stylehive knows where that inventory is going!

Have you scored an amazing designer find at one of these stores? Tell us about it in COMMENTS!
