    Amsterdam International Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: ...

Born in Los Angeles from the socialite mind of Ava Riley and brought to Amsterdam in cooperation with Olcay Gulsen, the SuperTrash collection may exude plenty of Hollywood It-Girl glamour at heart, but it has undoubtedly adopted plenty of Dutch flavor. The label showed at this season's Amsterdam International Fashion Week in a crowded venue with former supermodel Janice Dickinson as a special guest sitting front row. The collection was split into three themes: Animal Jungle, Blossom and Kaleidoscope. The first was inspired by all imperfections of nature, such as animal prints and flowing lines, while the second theme conjured up spring-like elements- elegant, glamorous, and a little naive. Kaleidoscope was all about colors with bright tunics and caftans. Overall it was very commercial, very feminine, and a very playful display of fashion that SuperTrash pulled off well. Take a look at the slideshow for a glimpse of the collection!

If you've ever stepped foot inside Kitson LA, you've probably noticed that they carry pretty much everything except the kitchen sink... and their own nail polish -- until now! Inspired by the colorful backdrop of Los Angeles, Kitson LA Nail Polish will offer ten shades with names like Kitson Kisses, Paparrazi Red, and Kitson Envy (which is a far cuter color than "Smoggy Gray-Green" would have been) and incorporates hues with both glossy and matte finishes. And you don't have to feel bad about stinking up the room while you touch-up your tips -- the formula is non-toxic and lead-free! These colors officially arrive in store and online at www.shopkitson.com in two weeks, so make sure to plan ahead so you can grab yours before fellow shoppers like Nicole Richie and Ashley Tisdale snatch them all up!

    Price: $10 each
Who Found It: xgalexy was the first to add Kitson LA Nail Polish to the Hive.

LA Fashion Week: Ooh La La! Samora Sends Us Swooning

If Holly Golightly had divided her time between New York and Paris, then the clothes from designer Samora Olayan would be perfect for all her Parisian getaways. It was hard to miss the giant Eiffel Tower backdrop and pink bicycle with flowers in the basket at the beginning of her runway show at Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week. With that in mind, Samora definitely captured the essence of the carefree Paris all of us would love to have in our day to day lives. Romantic ruffles were everywhere to be seen on the runway from the necklines, waistlines, and hemlines! Mint green, pink, white, and black were the colors of choice in light and airy (sometimes sheer!) fabrics. Another trend to be aware of for Spring 2009 are lady-like wrist length and half gloves. From cocktail dresses to separates, take a look at my SLIDESHOW to see what you should wear to your garden parties next spring.

If Grace Kelly, Katharine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall had been our contemporaries, there is no doubt they would fanatically clothe themselves in Kevan Hall's Spring 2009 Collection. Classic silhouettes met surprising, exquisite details for a collection that can only be described as unified and gorgeous. In soft browns, pinks, greens, blues and yellows, the collection showed variety in color, with subtle, flattering shapes enhanced by sparkling adornment. From a casual black and white gingham over slim pants day look to a simply stunning high neck navy belted evening gown with meticulous fabric square detailing, Kevan Hall is sure to be a staple of the 2009 award season, as well as a hit among the ladies who lunch. Check out the SLIDESHOW for a look at Kevan Hall€™s irresistible spring collection!

Los Angelinos may slack off during the day, sticking to easy lounge pants and hoodies, but come evening time, things kick up a notch and there€™s style everywhere. The current look du jour is a pair of cool pants worn with a floaty, sexy silk top and 70s jewelry, heels hidden under floor-grazing hems. Pretty dresses with flat gladiator sandals and easy trouser denim looks are close behind, while style setters are all about pant-length silk jumpsuits with halter necklines and voluminous legs. This was the scene at the Tres Glam trunk show last night, hosted at Petro Zillia. Guests noshed on HER energy drinks, munchies from Ashton Kutcher€™s restaurant Dolce, and Roberto Cavalli vodka with designers Britney and Lisa Gastinau (of Gastinau Girls). Here€™s a SLIDESHOW of my five favorite looks from last night!

Perfect Strangers: Hollywood Hipsters' "Rolled Out of Bed" ...

Lunch in LA is like a disheveled runway show. Hipsters swaddled in slick, I-didn€™t-mean-to-look-cool outfits roll about the city€™s hot spots snacking on turkey and brie sandwiches and ginormous fruit salads. Little dogs lounge (or bark excessively) from underneath chairs at outdoor patios while the occasional paparazzi swarm rolls in. When the sun is high, it's all about big sunglasses, flat footwear and the vibe that the local population has just rolled out of bed. Today€™s SLIDESHOW features five such decadent Hollywood lunchtime looks!
