Hot In The Hive: Lush's Daddyo Shampoo

Even if your father isn't exactly the "metro" type, he's still gotta wash his hair, right? And unless he's been blessed with remarkably good time-fighting genes (or he's an ageless vampire, but that's even less likely), chances are your dad is rockin' a salt-and-pepper hued 'do by now, if not a head of full-blown gray hair. Help him make the most of his time-seasoned locks and unleash his inner "silver fox" with Lush's Daddyo Shampoo, a lemon-scented purple lather formulated specifically to restore strength, infuse shine, and eliminate brassy tones for dads with distinguished grays (and other fair hair shades). Even if he's given up all hope on making over his dull-colored coif, Dad will definitely be taken by the fresh lemony (and very manly!) scent.

    Price: $26.75 for a 16.9 oz. bottle
Who Found It: xgalexy was the first to add Lush's Daddyo Shampoo to the Hive.

Can you believe that summer is almost over? Soon those lovely summer weekends will be gone and the summer blockbuster movies will seem like a distant memory. But before you go into hibernation and say goodbye to the floaty sundresses, flip flops and bikinis, we still have a good couple of warm weeks ahead of us (unless you live in San Francisco like me, the fog is about to lift and summer about to start all over again)! Relish this last month of warm weather with some truly summery citrus accessories. Lemon colored baubles and a tangerine clutch add a nice summery punch of color that makes you feel like you are headed for the beach! For more lemon, lime and tangerine touches check out my slideshow!

Vintage Style: Sunshine Finds for Vintage Fashionistas

It's that time of year when the Back to School sales are in full swing. And while I'm won't be stocking up on any yellow No. 2 pencils, I am inspired to sport something in the sunshine shade during the remaining carefree days of summer. Yellow is a surefire attention-getter (which is why there are so many yellow taxicabs on our streets) but that also makes it especially tricky to wear. Try pairing it with neutrals for a chic ensemble or with navy for a nautical look. And if you think you can't wear yellow because it washes you out, don't give up without a fight. With choices that range from banana to canary, you are sure to find a sunshine shade that is just right for you. Still need some inspiration? Then click the SLIDESHOW for a collection of yummy yellow vintage finds.
