Hot In The Hive: Bounkit's Amethyst Cuff, As Seen On Leighton ...

Although it's only in its third season, it's hard to remember a time when there was no "Gossip Girl" in our lives. There were no full-fledged fashionista high-schoolers with wardrobes that would turn Victoria Beckham green with envy, or crazy and twisted love stories that make you wonder ... when are these people actually in class? Who did we turn to for juicy, over-indulgent guilty pleasures and lust-worthy fashion items that we knew weren't affordable but put it on the shopping list anyway, along with numerous other unattainables? I cannot, for the life of me, remember what we used to do on Monday nights at 9pm. Well, their costume department has done it again, and this time it's with a gorgeous, sparkling bracelet that is elegant, sophisticated, youthful and not exactly cheap. However, the Amethyst Cuff by Bounkit Jewelry is the kind of jewelry that, although flashy and eye-catching, is still feminine and demure enough to wear with a whole variety of outfits. A flowing tops and skinny jeans for daytime would look amazing topped off with this brilliant piece, while a black dress and sky-high heels would stand out even more. Either way, there is no denying the beauty and appeal of this Bounkit cuff, and how much we wish we could just snatch it off Leighton Meester's dainty little wrist and make a run for it!

    Price: $560

Fashion Week may be over in New York, but there are still styles and trends to be seen. Did you catch the incredible Kabuki-inspired makeup at Marc Jacobs? If not, jump over to The Beauty Stop for a closer look- just maybe don't try out each element at the same time- Halloween's not here yet. Need a new tech toy? Vivienne Tam's newest HP clutch is definitely one to crave. If you're still adding to your fall wardrobe (who isn't?!), check out the super affordable silk t-shirt dress Kristopher Dukes is wanting. Plus, catch stories on affordable handbag choices, top looks from New York Fashion Week, what L.A.M.B. has in store for us for spring, and a pair of particularly lust-worthy Ann Demeulemeester boots. New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: 3.1 Phillip Lim

It's no big secret in the Stylehive office that I'm a huge fan of Phillip Lim so of course I jumped at the chance to cover his fashion show! His latest collection shown at Fashion Week featured a red runway with mirrored backdrop which set the tone for the looks. The models were all business with a modern suit in a deep red double breasted jacket and matching shorts. Lim featured many menswear inspired looks including a grey v-neck sweater over a long silky button front shirt with a bit of a lacy slip peeking out. The 3.1 Phillip Lim woman of next spring may be all business, but they are well aware of their femininity too. Asymmetrical dresses with appliques on the bodice or a sheer lace crop top in chartreuse paired with a matching high-waisted trouser breezed down the runway. Odds are that we'll be seeing these looks again on the set of Gossip Girl or on the red carpet on the likes of Lim's celeb fans like Camilla Belle or Kate Bosworth. Beauty looks to be aware of are side-parted hair and strong eyebrows. Take a peek at my slideshow for some of my favorite looks from the show!

Rock Sexy Stripes Like Leighton Meester

    image

At the Teen Choice Awards, Leighton Meester rocked a fashion-forward look that was both sweet and sexy. The "Gossip Girl" star wore a funky striped dress from Louis Vuitton, which was accented with ruffle details adding a flirty sensibility. She gave the look a sexy kick with red Brian Atwood pumps and an edgy black cuff by Cathy Waterman and rounded out the mix with a dainty pair of earrings. Stripes are super hot right now and can work for anyone, no matter your style. When wearing graphic prints, it's usually best to keep everything else relatively simple to avoid sensory overload. You can pair a striped frock with a few standout pieces like Leighton, go bold with piles of accessories, or keep it simple and team it with basic pumps. Video Style Steal: Leighton Meester Shows Us How "Good Girls ...

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester is used to being a fashion icon by now. While it may have been a bit unexpected to find her break into singing with her featured spot in Cobra Starship's single "Good Girls Go Bad," it certainly came as no surprise to see that she added some seriously fashionable fierceness to the video. And while the covetable wardrobe she dons as she sneaks into the deli-turned-"speakeasy" setting may not be the only reason the video is nominated for a VMA for Best Pop Video, it definitely helps amp it up, no doubt! And the best thing about her style? It's easy to make it your own without breaking the bank! With a hot cropped blazer and dramatic smoky eyes, you won't be nearly as incognito as Leighton is in the video, but you'll definitely have a stylish night out! Click "See Video" to watch her and Cobra Starship in action, then check out the slideshow for a more affordable run-down of her outfit!Photo Credit: MTV.com
