Whether you're a true studied photographer or simply rely on your iPhone and TwitPic to document your daily adventures, nowadays everyone's got the photo bug in some form or another. But have you noticed that despite the ever-increasing accessibility, portability and quality of cameras with all the latest tech developments, all the newly released digi gadgets have just started to look and function basically the same? Quick and convenient, sure, but borrring! Bring the creativity back to picture-taking and add some variety to those thousands of extended arm self-portraits you have tagged on Facebook with a novelty camera. Print photos instantly on the go with the Fuji Instax Camera (no need to scrounge around for your USB cord!), or create pop art portraits with the Pop Cam from Fred Flare. These novelty cameras aren't exactly a practical replacement for your usual point-and-shoot, but they're a fun addition to anyone who loves living behind the lens! Take a look at the slideshow for the 6 quirkiest cameras on the e-shelves today!

LEGOs have been a staple childhood toy for so many generations and they always bring back nostalgic and happy memories for me. What else gives me happiness? Dessert. Now there is a way to combine the two for ultimate fun-time ecstasy with the LEGO Cake/ Jelly mould. Use them like any other cake pan and build cool creations for parties or potlucks! Each mould allows you to make six individual cake treats for a fun and unique portable dessert, or make a few batches and let your creativity go! Make a simple LEGO cake fort, or build an entire castle (just make sure there are friends around to help you eat it)! Add food coloring to the batter to make then look even more like gigantic LEGOs and you, your friends and your kids can all have a delicious and innovative dessert time from your very own kitchen. These moulds are microwave and oven safe and you can use them again and again for only $14.99. The possibilities are truly endless, just like actual LEGOs, and you can take you cake and jelly creations as far as your imagination will take you! Adorn finished desserts with the actual tiny LEGO men-- just be careful not to eat them!

    Price: $14.99

Hive 5: Our Fave Retro Techie Toys

Retro tech. Although it's somewhat of a contradictory statement, techie gadgets reminiscent of days past are popping up everywhere! So silly and cute you might dismiss them as toys if it weren't for their practical applications. Yep, these fun gadgets may be retro-inspired, but they're fully equipped with the brains of today. Legos from my childhood have transformed into portable iPod speakers, the rubber ducky from my bath into a USB drive (iDuck), and that impossible Rubik's cube is now a multi-function digital clock. These "toys" are difficult to pass up and would make wonderful gifts for friends (or self)! So check out my SLIDESHOW now to see my fave 5 retro techie toys from around the Hive!
