Celebrate Earth Day By Going Green!

April 22nd marks the 39th anniversary of Earth Day and we can all do our part in saving the environment. This year, Earth Day is focusing on topics such as renewable energy and our own commitment to sustainable living. It's easy as turning off and unplugging lights and appliances you're not using, eating locally grown food, recycling, and of course, shopping! Long gone are the days of wearing uncomfortable and shapeless eco-friendly clothing. Super stylish brands from Charlotte Ronson to J Brand have something eco-friendly in their collection! Take a look at the Organic Larch Blanket by Unison and its surprisingly affordable price. Green beauty lovers will take pride in pursing their lips with Cargo's Plantlove lipstick collection. The packaging is made of biodegradable corn and they'll even donate $2 from each purchase to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Take a peek at my slideshow for more eco-friendly items that will have Mother Earth thanking you.

Spice Up Your Basics Like Rachel Bilson!

To celebrate her new Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans line in NYC, style-setter Rachel Bilson once again showed off her knack for fabulous style, rocking a look that was effortless and perfectly pulled together. With closet staples like black skinny jeans and a white tee as a foundation, Rachel finished the look with a few fabulous pieces- a sharp blazer, a splashy scarf, and studded booties- giving this minimal look a unique edge that brought the look to a whole new level of fabulousness! The best part about this ensemble is that it contains equal parts wearability and chic-ness. Check out my slideshow to rock it like Rachel. Photo credit: PR Photos

Okay, I'll say it...I'm sooo tired of my summer clothes! But, it's still way too hot to transition to fall. So, here I am, lusting after boots, sweaters and anything else with long sleeves, while I stand in my closet trying to figure out which summer top I can stand to put on one more time. To my delight, many of my favorite eco fashion designers are rolling out their fall collections slowly, but surely into the stores...and they're fabulous! But, I still can't bring myself to shop for fall yet because...it's still just too hot. I'm sure you can relate. So, for now, we'll just call it getting prepared. In that spirit, here are 10 of my favorite eco friendly fall basics for all us working girls. You know...the pencil skirt, crisp blouse, classic organic cotton turtleneck and must have accessories to make the outfit pop! Click on the SLIDESHOW to shop them all.
