Which Of Lady Gaga's Looks Is The Wildest?

By now, there is no need to prelude Lady Gaga with an introduction or description. Everyone knows who she is. Plus, how exactly would you describe this powerhouse entertainer? Her blindingly platinum blonde hair, those bling-ed out sunglasses, her lack of pants and one over-the-top get-up after another... one almost forgets that through all the crazy costumes, strange antics, make-out sessions with muppets and smoke and mirror filled performances, this girl can actually sing! Fantastical ensembles aside, Lady Gaga is known for pumping out one hot dance hit after another, making it impossible to not get up and bust a few moves to her beats. But let's face it. She's become a household name due to more than her songstress talents. Those crazy costumes and over-the-top outfits are what made us sit up and take notice. Some would say she's the leader in avant-garde fashion, others find her amusing, while still more would claim that her fashion sense belongs in an asylum! What do you think? Take our poll below and tell us which Lady Gaga ensemble is the wildest!

Hot In The Hive: HeartBeats Earbuds By Lady GaGa

By now, you've probably at least heard of the rhythm-thumping Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, if not seen them around town conspicuously perched on the heads of commuting musicophiles everywhere. They're not cheap, and they're certainly not discreet, but they do deliver some seriously stellar sound quality for your favorite mp3s. But what if your style-conscious self isn't crazy about over-the-ear headphones... and even less in love with the $300 price tag? Thankfully, someone equally style-savvy (but perhaps much more "experimentally" so) has designed her own fashionable equivalent without sacrificing the sound value. Lady Gaga's HeartBeats, designed by the pantsless wonder herself, are sleek and chic and help deliver club caliber sound despite their tiny in-ear package. If you're not a serious stickler for sound clarity, you might be okay with sticking to your regular iPod buds, but if you strive to turn your morning walk to work into your own personal runway/dance floor, the HeartBeats may be your next go-to gadget!

    Price: $99.95

Stylehive's 2009 MTV Video Music Awards Fashion Roundup!

    image

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards were full of things to talk about- an inspiring, amazing dance-filled tribute to Michael Jackson? Check. Lady Gaga in multiple insane getups? Check, check. Kanye not having control of his mouth yet again? Check... how rude. And who could forget Taylor Swift's adorable subway station performance of "You Belong With Me," Beyonce's hip-shaking "Single Ladies" show, Pink's trapeze acrobatics, and, yes, the "New Moon" sneak peek? It's given us plenty to blog, talk, and tweet about, but let's not forget the outfits! Sparkly and short seemed to rule last night, but looks both dramatic (Gaga) and demure (Swift) stood out just as much, if not more. Click the slideshow to see our favorite looks from the VMAs! Be Like Lady Gaga iPhone App: Are YOU The Next Big ...

    image

It seems like everyday there is a new iPhone app. Some extremely useful, some just plain stupid, and others absolutely hilarious. This Lady Gaga app falls into the category of utterly useless, yet hilarious. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge fan of Lady Gaga, despite the fact she stole my hairdo (I too rock platinum blond hair with bangs). But now anyone can be- or pretend to be- the first lady of electro-pop with the "Be Like Lady Gaga" Haus of Gaga iPhone App. From your iPhone, you can choose pictures of yourself, your friends, and your dog, as well as some signature Lady Gaga graphics. You can choose from a vast array of her personal items and accessories to dress up as her! All of the graphics can be stretched out and manipulated to fit any sized photo, even that unflattering close-up that you have of your frenemy! Then you can share the pics with your friends and the rest of the world in the global online gallery. Available now for $1.99 at Apple's App store.

Time To Make A Statement With A Bold Neon Watch!

With 80s and 90s-inspired neon colors making comebacks all over the fashion spectrum, what youthful trend of yore would be more fun to welcome back than those funky florescent watches? I don't know about you, but back in elementary school I used to rock one of those faddish Baby-G watches every day like it was a diamond-crusted Rolex... and now even Lady Gaga has added her own neon yellow one as a staple to her very "fashion-forward" characteristic look in her latest music videos. Similar plastic and jelly-banded bright digitals (and analogs too) are popping up in both casual and high-end accessory lines, from sporty brands like Nixon and Adidas to designers like Michael Kors, and are appearing to be a hot color-popping trend for summer. Despite their silly hues and casual appearance, some are still pretty fancy and may be a bit on the pricey side if you're just looking to try out the bold look for a fun occasion or two, but others are both affordable and durable enough to take along to the beach and maybe even swim in! Check out the slideshow for some examples of the season's most vibrant watches!

    All The Nu Rave

    image

Fashion can start onstage and make its way down to create its own culture. In early 2007 neon leggings and bright colored t-shirts started to dot the runways, club scenes, and raves. Starting in London, this Nu Rave fashion spread throughout Europe from clubs like The End to Yelle's latest video. Clothing labels such as Ice Cream and Genetic Denim have given way to these fashion trends in New York and LA. Nu Rave is a term derived from a similar fashion style of the late eighties and early nineties that was brought from the club scene and pop icons to the catwalks and fashion magazines by designers like Stephen Sprouse (who was among the first to bring a street art/graffiti look to his clothing). The sparkle headbands and oversized neon glasses with matching leggings was first noticed in the underground clubs of London. It then hit the streets of Paris where artists and musicians started to embody the Nu Rave image. Today, musicians such as Yelle, Ed Banger Records, New Young Pony Club, Uffie, LMFAO and New York native Lady Gaga are beginning to deck themselves out in designers such as Jeremy Scott, House of Holland, and Cassette Playa. Even Kanye and M.I.A. have started their own labels bringing this edgy, rocker, rave look to the their fans. This aesthetically attention-grabbing look not only embraces individual creativity, but embodies a culture. Nu Rave is a counter part to a lifestyle inspired by urban music and art. It captures a feeling and a lifestyle. Take a look at WhatsWear.com for more spring trends, fashion movements, and style news!
