Best known for a winning combination of simple designs and brightly-colored patterned fabrics, Finnish design powerhouse Marimekko is one of my top choices when it comes to dressing kids in the hottest high-quality designer duds. Founded in 1951, the Marimekko aesthetic derives from the application of superior Scandinavian graphic design to textiles. Some of the most successful uses for the company's famous prints are found in their current Kids' Collection, where the whimsy of children's clothing finds a perfect partner in Marimekko's colorful, relaxed designs.
