Made from non-porous white ceramic and filled with a peat and soil mixture, the kit comes with a small packet of seeds that can grow in the Eggling for about five months. The top cracks easily and cleanly with a spoon, leaving a hole large enough to water and nurture the growing plant. When the plant is big enough it can be directly transplanted to a bigger pot or a garden. Eggling is available in four types of herbs-- basil, parsley, mint and thyme-- or flowers-- chrysanthemum, lobelia, phlox and petunia.
