LemonDrop Suggests You "Trick Or Chic" With Fashion-Inspired ...

Craving a Halloween costume that's not so much scary as it is stylish? Why not pay homage to an iconic fashion personality? From a ghoulish Karl Lagerfeld to a monstrous cat-wielding Kenley Collins, these get-ups are just right for fashionistas who are less into "boo" and more into "Goo ... cci." How about Anna Wintour? Between her pow-wow with David Letterman and the success of "The September Issue," it may just be the Year of the Icy British Editrix. Here's what you'll need:

    -elegant dress or skirt suit
    -bobbed wig with bangs
    -fabulous heels
    -devil's accessories
    -sunglasses
    -copy of Vogue
    -haughty attitude

You may not be able to snap your fingers and have a designer frock suddenly appear, but you can fake it. Simply throw on your finest skirt suit or dress (bearing in mind that Ms. Wintour does not do black), affix an inverted triangle Prada label you've cleverly made out of construction paper, stick some devil's horns atop your bobbed wig, and slap on some giant black shades. Extra points for carrying a copy of Vogue or having your giant Andre Leon Talley lookalike BFF hover behind you in a cape. Click over to Lemondrop for three more clever ideas!

Katy Perry Interviews Karl Lagerfeld At Paris Fashion Week

Quirky songstress Katy Perry chats with Karl Lagerfeld after his show at Paris Fashion Week in an exclusive interview for Elle.com. It's certainly a rare chance to peek into the personality of one of the world's most esteemed designers. Is he intimidating? Yes, but there is a certain warmth about his demeanor, even as he corrects Katy when she expresses her adoration for the fabric, not metal embellishment on a particular dress. The two discuss music and fashion, and we learn fun facts like what he listened to as he got dressed this morning and what song he feels describes himself best (by none other than Lily Allen, of course). His response to the requisite "if you could trade places with any designer" question is a careful mix of smug satisfaction and pure respect. Oh, and he makes jokes too! Katy Perry Rocks Rupert Sanderson For Karl Lagerfeld ...

UK shoe designer Rupert Sanderson recently announced his second collaboration with the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, updating his popular Asteroid and Finesse heel styles for spring/summer 2010. Lagerfeld wanted a futuristic-looking shoe to coordinate with his runway show, and Sanderson obliged by adding a geometric heel, then took it to another level by altering ankle straps to loop under the sole and bolting them in place for a dominatrix-inspired detail. In colors and fabrics like white hot suede and metallic silver leather, they were a dangerously perfect complement to Lagerfeld's futuristic 'rock goddess' collection. Katy Perry attended Lagerfeld's show in a pair from Sanderson's debut collection for Karl- what do you think of her front row look? Would you wear these shoes? (See more of them here.)

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel RTW Spring/Summer 2010

    image

Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a rustic barn setting for the Spring 2010 ready-to-wear show at Paris Fashion Week, and managed to switch out at least part of his signature uniform for- gasp- jeans- perhaps hinting at the lighthearted display to come. Models emerged from the barn dressed in springy versions of iconic Chanel tweed separates and frothy chiffon frocks paired with high heeled clogs and platform heels. Colors were subdued- black, white, and versions of taupe and cream made up the palette- and thus the focus remained on texture and form. Lagerfeld left the idea of wholesome, raised on the farm innocence far behind - the girls sported tattoos giving the illusion of thigh-high stockings, skirts were slit well through the thigh, and beehive buns were a tiny bit tousled as if to suggest a recent romp in the hay (pun not intended). Choosing such a strong theme is difficult as you run the risk of falling into a cliche, but Lagerfeld's execution kept the focus mostly on the clothes, and everything else was an accessory whose role was to accentuate and not distract- this is the essence of ready-to-wear, after all. The overall mood was whimsical and relaxed, striking a fine balance between luxury and accessibility and reminding us why we appreciate luxury fashion in the first place. Influential International Style: Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger knows what's up. As the female lead in Inglorious Basterds, as well as the less recent classics like Troy and Wicker Park, she never fails to sparkle in a performance. Although she won the Cannes Chopard Trophy in 2003, I have to say that her performance at Cannes this year really put her in the stratosphere. Her style is impeccable. She takes risks in interesting sleeves, cutaways, crazy patterns and haute couture texture. She tends to stick with basic black, but chooses outrageous texture and true haute couture. It's no wonder she's Karl Lagerfeld's little darling! One of the reasons she's looked so good lately? Karl himself has used her as a muse since she appeared in Chanel handbag ads in 2007. Check out my slideshow for ways to achieve Diane Kruger's wunderbar style! Photo credit: PR Photos

When she's not busy burying her nose in spell books, donning dress robes, and getting all "teenage-angsty" over a not-quite-budding romance with Ron Weasley, Emma Watson is quite the young fashion icon. Known for her love of Chanel eveningwear, her buddy-buddiness with Karl Lagerfeld, and her role as Burberry's fresh fall face, Emma seems to have the whole "effortlessly elegant" look down pat. And now with "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" in full media swing, she's charming big-screen audiences and red carpet rompers alike with her collection of captivating big-night dresses. From Hogwarts to Hollywood and beyond, not even the Sectumsempra curse could stop her style-savviness! Vote below on which of Hermione's many outfits you find most bewitching! Photo Credit: PR Photos
