Zachary Pryor's Unique Jewelry Is Love At First Sight

    image
Amber Fijolek on Nov 13, 2009 12:22 PM PST
New York artist Jesse Utt travels to various spaces to showcase a spunky and shameless collection of wall-hanging artwork -- and makes jewelry-making look like child's play. As attractive as his artwork is on canvas, it's his Zachary Pryor accessories line that's so beguiling, we'd never want to take off. His earrings and necklaces resemble a scrapbook collage of trunk collectibles that are a perfect way to add crafty edge to your style. Metal chains, color contrast and charms all lend a hand in shaping the tasteful trinkets that have found their way to the necks and wrists of art-loving A-listers like Mary-Kate Olsen and Avril Lavigne. Jesse, under the trade name Zachary Pryor (a name that covertly pays homage to his grandmother and plays off a name that he could've been donned at birth) has made wearing art -- and making a statement -- easy. While his past works feature canvas-mimicking illustrations, his most recent follow either a more industrial style that is loud and evocative, or a fierce, whimsical style with bright feathers. Catch some of the lust-worthy eye candy in this slideshow and fall in love with the originality of these essentially one-of-a-kind Zachary Pryor accessories!

Lisanne Silverman on Sep 14, 2009 1:21 PM PDT
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards were full of things to talk about- an inspiring, amazing dance-filled tribute to Michael Jackson? Check. Lady Gaga in multiple insane getups? Check, check. Kanye not having control of his mouth yet again? Check... how rude. And who could forget Taylor Swift's adorable subway station performance of "You Belong With Me," Beyonce's hip-shaking "Single Ladies" show, Pink's trapeze acrobatics, and, yes, the "New Moon" sneak peek? It's given us plenty to blog, talk, and tweet about, but let's not forget the outfits! Sparkly and short seemed to rule last night, but looks both dramatic (Gaga) and demure (Swift) stood out just as much, if not more. Click the slideshow to see our favorite looks from the VMAs! Brian Lichtenberg has done it again. He has just released his new Graffiti Leggings, web-exclusive to Karmaloop.com. The graffiti print was produced as a limited run on vintage items, such as tanks, jeans, jackets, etc. Due to an immense wave of positive feedback and demand, the print was an instant hit and has been worn by various artists. Keri Hilson sports the graffiti leggings in her smokin' hot music video, "Knock You Down," featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo. Not to mention, Grammy Award winning producer Bangladesh and Mikey from the Cool Kids have also been seen wearing the graffiti print. A Los Angeles based label, the brand roots from the young mastermind himself, Brian Lichtenberg. Known for his out-there, space age, '80s-inspired fashions, Brian Lichtenberg finds inspiration through art and architecture. He reflects his passions in his unusual and hip designs, shedding light on a new era of contemporary innovative fashion. Flirting with futuristic sportswear, Brian Lichtenberg also brings you his devastatingly popular tanks: The BB Logo Tank and the Brianel Parfum Tank. The Bowtie Is Back!

    image

Are bowties ready for a comeback? I sure hope so! No longer reserved for nerds at prom and Bill Nye the Science Guy, bowties have started popping up here and there. But are they prime for a big return or will it just be a flash-in-the-pan trend like the brief resurgence of men's short shorts? From hipster to hip-hop and all the way uptown to"Gossip Girl" territory, there's no denying that the trend is starting to build. Karl Lagerfeld has been spotted wearing a simple black silk bowtie for some time and Kanye West is rocking them in his sneak peak at his new clothing line Pastelle. Forgotten by fashion and relegated to dweeb territory for years, today's bowtie has a nostalgic kitschy feel that's fresh and new. Ready to jump on this trend? Check out the slideshow for some favorites. Not sure how to even tie a bowtie? Click "See Video" to watch Avvi66's YouTube video, "How to Tie a Bowtie" for a step-by-step how-to.

Video Style Steal: Keri Hilson Amps Up Her Accessories In ...

    image
Alex Gambardella on Apr 22, 2009 8:21 AM PDT
R&B songstress Keri Hilson first stole the show with her supporting vocals on Timbaland's hit track "The Way I Are," and now with her chart-topping debut album In A Perfect World... she's making a name for herself as a leading solo artist and has top hip-hoppers like Lil Wayne and Kanye West backing her own tracks. With her club-banging beats and confident lyrics (she even calls out Beyonce in one of her tunes!) Keri is not only climbing the ranks as a singer, but as a style maven as well! An avid Melody Ehsani and CC Skye fan, Keri lives for classy sexiness with a funky flair, and her seemingly endless array of accessories in her latest "Knock You Down" video has me loving the edgy-urban look she has going on. While I certainly don't condone sneaking around behind multiple fellas' backs (but hey, go on with your bad self), you have to admit -- the girl looks fierce doing it! Click "See Video" to watch Keri in action (with Kanye and Ne-Yo!), then check out the slideshow to see how you can cop her decked-out look!
