    10 Fabulous Frocks Under $50!

    image

I'm definitely loving this new trend of rompers and jumpsuits. Anyone who knows me at all will tell you that I'm borderline obsessed. But really, the infatuation stems beyond to a love for all one-pieces. The most familiar, most versatile and most comfortable one-piece of all time? That would have to be the well-loved dress. Dresses are feminine no matter the style - casual jersey knit for the weekend with friends, or silk sateen for that cocktail party you've been planning for - and they are easy to dress up or down. They're convenient because you don't need to take time trying to decide which top goes well with which bottom and, although they take mere seconds to put on, they make you look pretty and put-together. A dress can be appropriate for almost any situation so check out the slideshow for our 10 favorites under $50!

    Sophisticated Playwear: Short Romper Jumpsuits!

The short romper jumpsuit has grown up and is no longer just for playdates at the playground! Now available in sophisticated styles and sizes for grown ups, the summer romper is one way to keep cool and maintain your style credibility. Honed in fabrics like silk, knit and linen these delicate little short jumpsuits look very pretty dressed up with a pair of ankle tie wedge espadrilles. We spotted a few short romper jumpsuits and are coveting them as our go-to summer uniform. Haven's 'Amy' silk print romper embraces a subtle ethnic tonal print with a blouse effect and tie waist. Pair it with an eye-catching pair of beaded wedge espadrilles. Emblazoned with the signature zigzag pattern, the Missoni Fortaleza woven jumpsuit indulges our search for "La Dolce Vita" with a spaghetti strap tank and flowing shorts. The Missoni jumpsuit is perfect for a bikini cover up or night on the town. Twin the Missoni jumpsuit is a pair of Louboutin light blue ankle tie espadrilles. Elizabeth and James' black silk summer romper will be the urban girl's best friend- it's a decidedly daring jumper for the perfect downtown look. Don a pair of black caged sandals or beach-ify the look with a pair of black ankle tie espadrilles. Alexander Wang's edgy zipper-embellished silk short romper is made even cooler with a graphic marble print. Pair the oversized short jumpsuit with a pair of pretty lavender hued Louboutin espadrilles. For more sophisticated summer rompers, click over to our friends at The Find!

The Top 5 Trendy Jumpsuits For Your Spring Wardrobe!

    image

Unless you have been living under a rock the past few months, you probably have noticed that jumpsuits are the key piece for your spring/summer wardrobe. Once relegated to construction workers, Studio 54 mavens and small children, the jumpsuit has broken out once again. While this trend has been brewing for a while, it's finally hit fever pitch. I was an early adopter of the trend, rocking vintage jumpsuits and a great little linen romper from Uniqlo last summer; I am so incredibly happy that one-piece ensembles, long and short, are everywhere now! My search for these one-piece wonders used to be confined to vintage stores and a few specialty stores, and it's like my options have quadrupled. There€™s nothing easier than one piece dressing! Throw on a casual short romper with some flats and a cardigan for day. By night, your options are limitless! Menswear-inspired tuxedo jumpsuits are subtly sexy with some heels for a night out. Embellished jumpsuits with the right jewelry and attitude can totally replace your cocktail dress. Check out the slideshow for my top 5 jumpsuits to get you set for the season and beyond!

As was the case with her Fall 2008 collection, Tracy Reese drew inspiration from nature for Spring/Summer 2009, with a lineup that marked a beautiful progression through the seasons. Stunning colors abounded: winter white, sky blue, garden green, desert neutral, yellow, watercolor pastels, vibrant colored prints - if you see it outside, chances are it walked down this runway. Tracy balanced the super sweet, ultra-femme vibe of the collection with bold and uber-glam accessories including large old-school glamour earrings and multi-chain lariat necklaces. This presentation also marked the debut of Black Label, a high-end version of the signature collection, with frothy organza, airy chiffon, and rich brocades, perfect for channeling your inner glamour-girl. Cuts/Shapes: Relaxed Silhouettes, architectural shapes, layered chiffon; Trends: Jumpsuits, ankle trousers, peplum, florals; Celeb Sightings: Emma Roberts, Brandy, Bijou Phillips, Ana Ortiz, Malin Akerman.
