From skincare to nails, backstage for the Spring 2010 Julie Haus collection (which was sponsored by Beauty.com) was all about grunge, rocker chic. In one corner, hairstylist Oscar Blandi was creating a tousled, slept-in look while celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann was applying a smudged finish to the gunmetal shimmer. On the other side, Stila makeup artist Sarah Lucero was focusing on creating a messy yet pretty eye, and Bethany Wojtech for Arcona was going over how the all natural skin care line is perfect for the models' skin during fashion week as they go from show to show (something that I had always wondered!).

The Julie Haus Spring 2009 collection was all about celebrating the rebellious spirit of women. Enhancing the fun, carefree, and slightly irreverent vibe of the fabulous fashions that lit up the runway were the effortlessly sexy, naturally undone hair and makeup looks. According to Dwight O'Neal, who created the makeup look for The Balm, €œIt€™s just very, very natural. Picture a model on a go-see and she€™s rushing getting in between places and she hops in a cab and just does her makeup really quickly- she throws on lip gloss throws on her mascara really quickly. So it€™s just the natural beautiful you shining through, not about the makeup.€ Read on for a step-by-step guide to replicate the hair and makeup looks!

Titled "Not a Wallflower," the Julie Haus Spring 2009 collection was inspired by the rebellious spirit of women who go against the grain and scoff at conformity. Using the idea of the "anti-wallflower" as her main reference, Julie also found inspiration in a group of Japanese fairy tales, titled the "Wall Flower," resulting in a collection that tells the story of a well-traveled gal whose eclectic style is influenced by walking the streets of Japan, China, Paris, and New York. With vibrant colors, bold patterns, mixed silhouettes, and all sorts of statement makers from bold jewelry pieces (designed by Jules Smith) and edgy-chic shoes by Matt Bernson, this collection is for the fashion risk-taker who knows how to mix and match for a style that is undeniably her own. I got the chance for chat with the pint-sized effervescent designer moments before the show. She may play the villain on the hit show Ugly Betty, but at the ABC and Disney TCA All Star Party, actress Becki Newton was just too cute to hate wearing a fun, notice-me ensemble that was bold and fashion-forward without being too over the top. Becki added some curves to her petite figure in a ruffled strapless purple Abaeté dress and infused some stylish spice to the sweet style by pairing the dress with piercing blue Courtney Crawford pumps, and accessorizing with turquoise earrings and silver bangles for a look that was equal parts sweet and sexy romantic without being risqué. Check out my SLIDESHOW to get this irresistible, fun and flirty look!

Whip out the tide sticks, seltzer and salt, or whatever else you use to get stains out, because white is giving its counterpart, black, a run for its money and quickly becoming the shade to crave. Although white was once classified as a spring/summer-time only thing while its counterpart, black, took center-stage as every woman€™s proverbial go-to shade, ever since the €˜No white after labor day€™ law was sent into retirement, white has taken over with all things white - from white shoes, to white bags, to white jeans, and so on - are officially in the year-round staple category.
