Statement: "I have always worked with stitch and wanted to develop a way of working that would highlight the stitch itself. Working with fine wire rather than thread has enabled me to use textile techniques to create forms with metal, which are intricate and hold their form over time, yet are still seemingly delicate. I use fine wire and treat it as thread, stitching without fabric to create intricate forms accentuated by glass beads, transforming the wire from a harsh material to a soft and delicate one. My lifelong love of textiles has led me to incorporate buttons and buckles into my work creating my Vintage Collection.
