Jimmy Choo For H&M Is Almost Here!

    image

Finally, the day is almost here! The Jimmy Choo collection is the first time H&M is collaborating with an accessories brand and we think it's a pretty fabulous brand to go for on a first try! And it sounds like quite a bit of work went into making this happen. According to Tamara Mellon, the founder and president of Jimmy Choo, "It was a challenge for us to create high-quality pieces at an H&M price point." We believe it! And since the line is more than just shoes and accessories, it will definitely be different from the traditional Jimmy Choo line. We're interested to see how the line fares for H&M. We think it will be hugely popular (we hear they're giving out wristbands for opening day!), but have to wonder if it will cheapen the Jimmy Choo brand as a whole. Clearly Mellon doesn't think so, or we're sure she wouldn't have agreed to the collaboration. She said, "It was H&M's idea to [do clothes], and as soon as they said it, I really wanted to do it." It will definitely allow them to meet a whole new audience; that's for sure! Make sure to check it out when it arrives on November 14! Check back with Limelife for more news on designer collabos!

Twilight Star Ashley Greene's Lessons In Fashion

    image

Remember when we saw Ashley Greene as a fashion correspondant for MTV's Video Music Awards and we thought, "Wow, she's good!"? Well, she hasn't always been quite the fashionista. Ashley Greene opens up about some of her biggest fashion mistakes. So, what was her biggest fashion mistake? She tells MTV it was in 2006 when she attended the Hollywood Life magazine party. She wore a white midriff-bearing top with jeans and suspenders. Oh, Ashley! That sounds like something from the '80s or early '90s and definitely not 2006. But at least Ashley has changed her fashion since she's become such a big Twilight star. Ashley Greene is in the public eye all the time now, so someone is always watching to see what she's wearing. And Ashley's favorite outfit so far was worn just two years after her major faux pas. In 2006, she wore a little black dress with a pleated bottom and a pair of Jimmy Choos. Head on over to our friends at LimeLife to read the rest!

Give An LBD A Fashion-Forward Edge Like Ellen Page

At the L.A. premiere of Whip It, actress Ellen Page looked chic, timeless, and simultaneously cutting-edge. Ellen rocked a long-sleeve Alexander Wang LBD (long sleeve mini-dresses are all the rage this season). She took this basic staple to the next level with a funky pair of Rachel Comey booties, an embellished Jimmy Choo clutch, and layered David Yurman chain necklaces. This look was totally on-point and is fashion-forward but still totally wearable. I love how Ellen toughened up a classic closet staple but still kept the look feminine and sexy. This look is definitely worth replicating for your next night out. Check out my slideshow to do it up just like Ellen!

Collab Update: The Jimmy Choo For H&M Lookbook!

    image

What's better than news of a hot designer collab, a.k.a. a collection of pretty things I can suddenly afford? How about an impeccably styled lookbook to go along with it? Images from the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection (set to arrive in select H&M stores November 14) are circling the web, and here's the rundown. Lots of leather? Check. Hot male models? Check (okay, model). Studded accessories? Check. And while the London-based luxury label is certainly known for its shoes above all else, I have to say I'm much more impressed with the belts, bracelets, and bags. That cross-body hobo and stud embellished belt will be mine, and if I have to camp out all night to get them, it will be worth it. Oh, and prices haven't been released yet, so I can still make mental wishlists of everything from the collection I'm craving and actually believe they'll end up in my closet. Sweet! Check out the slideshow to see the lookbook for yourself!

Update A Black Jumpsuit Like Kristen Bell

    image
Sabrina Newman on Sep 29, 2009 2:19 PM PDT
At the Teen Choice Awards, the adorable Kristen Bell kept it funky, fashion-forward, and just the right touch of sexy with an ensemble that mixed high and low-end buys. Kristen went for one of this season's must-have pieces, the black jumpsuit, opting for a plunging style from Topshop. She enlivened the look with some standout accessories including a colorful Vera Wang rhinestone necklace, gold and diamond necklaces from Jennifer Meyer jewelry, metallic strappy sandals from Jimmy Choo, and a lime green Bally frame clutch. A black jumpsuit like this one is highly versatile and is the perfect backdrop for an array of fabulous accessories, giving you the freedom to express your personal style. Pair it with heavy chains and a leather cuff for an edgy style, piles of bangles for a more boho look, or with muted accessories for a polished look. Check out my slideshow to rock it like Kristen!
