Lav and Kush Gold Foil Print Top or Tunic - Womens long sleeve top or tunic with a gold foil print along the side. Style features include flared wide arms, and a boat neck neckline. Fabric is Modal. Modal looks like lightweight rayon but it's better!! it stays beautiful much longer, softer and it's natural !! Modal is made by spinning reconstituted cellulose from beech trees. It is about 50% more hygroscopic, or water-absorbent, per unit volume than cotton is. It is designed to dye just like cotton, and is color-fast when washed in warm water. Modal is essentially a variety of rayon. Textiles made from Modal do not fibrillate, or pill, like cotton does, and are resistant to shrinkage and fading. They are smooth and soft, more so than even mercerized cotton, to the point where mineral deposits from hard water, such as lime, do not stick to the fabric surface.

On a small sandy beach lived a little girl in a small shack all by herself. Both her parents disappeared one day when they walked into the ocean holding hands and kept walking without looking back until they were completely underwater... Ever since that day the little girl never spoke a word to any living thing... She would only talk to her stuffed animals and dolls ... every morning she would wake up and make herself tea and toast smothered in honey and share it with her stuffies and dolls while they chatted about the dreams they had dreamed that night and other worldly events that weren't that worldly at all...One day she cut her hair which was very long and grew rapidly by the minute and braided it and then tied it to one of her dolls.... every day since then she tied up one more ....then she would go to the beach and drag them through the sand and waves and watched them bob in the water and fly through the sand....this went on for years ...it got so that by the time she was thirteen she had 4389 stuffies and dolls dragging behind her....One day a young boy saw her from afar and ran after her asking if he could hug her.... she turned around and looked at him and smiled with tears in her eyes and then the wind started to blow in huge gusts around them both whipping the sand into their eyes and hair.... then slowly all the tied stuffies and dolls that she had dragging behind her started to float up into the sky almost touching the clouds grazing them like light kisses and then the girl began to rise up floating into the air still holding her golden braids.....she smiled at the boy and held out her hand ... he took it gently and then squeezed tighter and was lifted up as well ...and they both floated up and up and over the ocean and then they both sank down into the water and sank to the bottom... all that was left were the 4389 stuffies and dolls floating on the surface... dancing with eachother.... the end. This necklace is made gold twisted tapestry I found in a second hand shop... I weaved and looped and draped it to a vintage gold chain (not real gold) it's super gorgeous...

Most of our FaeryWear is made of the finest silks and silk velvets and has been washed and distressed to perfect softness before being sent out into the world. That means most of it is easy to care for and can be safely washed by hand or gently by machine. The chiffons can hang to dry and they dry very quickly! The velvets can be dried by machine with a fabric softener sheet and you will love how they feel! Please be aware that any tattered edges and other signs of being worn while sleeping under brambles are intentional because...have you ever seen a faery with a hem?

A cold join, metal, found object ring made in Susan Lenart Kazmir's class. I used many jewelry skills, lots of new ones, to construct this ring. I started with only a sheet of copper, iron wire, sterling wire, and four found metal objects (the metal for the band, the loop, the hand, and the bottom coin.) I had to anneal, cut, saw, patina, punch, rivet, and wire the rest. The metal loop just under the top lintel piece is loose and will spin all the way around the ring, under the lintel. It looked somewhat like a fertilizer spreader to me -- hence the name "Spreading Joy." The word "joy" is punched into the metal loop and the words "joy" and "gentleness" are punched into the metal just below the loop.
