The protégé project was launched early last year, recruiting five established fashion designers and insiders - Karl Lagerfeld, Francisco Costa, Donatella Versace, Paul Smith, Franca Sozzani - to each select a young designer to mentor. The collections were recently unveiled. These kids are tomorrow's heavy hitting designers.
