LimeLife Spots Suri Cruise Wearing Heels Again!

    image

Seriously? We don't understand what's going on. Does Katie Holmes think this is cute? Honestly, we're concerned for any child that's allowed to be out and about wearing high heel shoes. And Suri Cruise is wearing them again. When we were kids, we all had those little sparkly plastic high heels. We'd wear them while playing dress-up, walk horribly in them, and throw them off. But Suri Cruise is already a high-heel walking expert at age three. Do you think this is a good thing or is it horribly inappropriate? At least Suri's heels weren't as high this time and they seemed to fit her a bit better (the last ones were way too big), but how many pairs of high heels does Suri have? With so many cute pairs of kid's flats out there, we don't get why Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise allow Suri to wear heels. She'll have plenty of time for that! What do you think of Suri Cruise's shoe habit? Go visit our friends over at LimeLife to weigh in!

Line To Watch: Finsk By Julia Lundsten

When Manolo Blahnik uses words like "exquisite, "divine," and "perfect" to describe your shoe designs, you know you're on the up and up (and not just in terms of heel height). That's exactly where designer Julia Lundsten is going with her line Finsk. Launched in 2004, her collection of crazy designs and quirky, sculptural heels has her dubbed as the Eames of footwear. While attending London's Royal College of Art she won the prestigious Manolo Blahnik Award 2 years in a row. Her inspiration from architecture and furniture is visible in the details of her shoes. Her love of furniture design extends to her way of thinking too -- considering the heel and the sole as the chair's legs and the upper as the seat, her shoes always seem to cradle the foot perfectly. With an unconventional style, the pumps, ankle booties, and boots all feature heels hand-carved from sustainable hard woods from Brazil. If that doesn't get you walking tall, I don't know what will! Check out the slideshow to see some of her signature styles.

    Seriously Horrible High Heels.

Men love high heels, or more specifically, the love women in high heels! And why shouldn't they? They make our legs look hot and also deceive people into thinking we aren't half-man half-Weebles. Girls (and some boys!) start wearing heels at the ripe old age of three, when we slip on mommy's pumps and go clicking down the hallway! As we get older, we all find our favorites. From the classic peep-toe pump to strappy, gladiator-inspired slingbacks, every girl knows that there's no such thing as too many shoes! But even the sexiest of shoes can go horribly wrong when designers who should probably be crushing boxes at K-Mart sit down in front of the drawing board and let their creative juices flow. These are some of the ugliest heels we could find. Own something worse? Let us know! To get an even bigger shoe scare, check out more horrible high heels at Lemondrop!

    Coquette Says Gimme Shoes!

When I lived near Hayes Valley in San Francisco, I used to get off the bus a few stops ahead just so I could wander down Hayes Street and browse around at one of my favorite shoe stores, Gimme Shoes. It was a little happy place for me to just be around all these beautiful shoes, even if I hadn't exactly left room in the budget for an additional pair or two. I'm happy to report that they now have everything online so even if you aren't in San Francisco, you can still shop their extensive and stylish collection! If you are in or around San Francisco, check out their two store locations -- 416 Hayes Street and 2358 Fillmore Street -- to see all the stunning shoes in person! Some of my current favorites are the Loeffler Randall bootie ($578), the Coclico peep-toes ($320), and these ruffled Rachel Comey open-toe heels ($310). When you're finished browsing the covetable collection, click on over to Coquette for more splurge-worthy fashion finds!

One of my favorite designers, Melody Ehsani, has just dropped her latest shoe collection, now available at Karmaloop.com. The LA based designer has a knack for designing and creating eye-catching footwear. Web-exclusive to her own site and Karmaloop.com, Ehsani's collection offers a fantastic line of shoes, featuring bold, flashy pieces that have caught the attention of many celebrities. Ehsani has just recently collaborated with fellow designer Richie Rich on a new collection, and has also partnered up with singer Keri Hilson, producing her merchandise for her tour with Lil Wayne. The designer has a strong belief in her inner power as woman, which has allowed her to challenge the status quo and conventional norms. Through her line, she pushes other daring women to overcome barriers and shed any weight of uncertainty about themselves. The Melody Ehsani customer believes in self-expression, independence, and women loving fashion for themselves because of the way it makes them feel. The collection yields nothing short of quality high-fashion products that are stunning, comfortable and affordable. Peep the 'Love Stinks' heel and the 'Javier' heel and join Ehsani in her fight to upset the equilibrium!

Elle's Fall A To Zee Trends: On Point

Looking for a way to sharpen your style? A pointed toe pump may be your answer! While we all love the darling retro appeal of our round toe pumps, sometimes a more refined heel is in order. The key is to balance the shoe's severe lines with easy pieces and relaxed silhouettes. Dress up your light wash flared denim with a funky sky blue pump, or give your plain black dress a striking edge with a studded pair- our eyes are on Jean Michel Cazabat's embellished pumps. For this fall's sleekest look, tuck your jeans into a pair of pointy toed boots, like Via Spiga's leather pair. And let's not forget the tapered heel's ability to make your stems appear longer, but if you have big feet, bear in mind those will look bigger too! Check out Elle's A to Zee Trends to see Joe Zee's picks, and click on our SLIDESHOW to see our favorite examples of this trend, straight from the Hive.
