Anya Hindmarch MBE (born 1968), is an English fashion accessories designer.
Anya Hindmarch started her business twenty years ago, at the age of nineteen when she was living in Florence. Recognizing what women need in a handbag, Anya noticed a trend amongst Florentine women, of a drawstring, leather duffel bag. Upon her return to England, she approached Harpers & Queen, who commissioned her to design a bag for a special offer; five hundred were sold and the Anya Hindmarch brand was born.
Anya Hindmarch designs three collections each year. Alongside her mainline leather bags Anya also designs shoes, luggage, small leather goods, a beach collection and a small range of ready-to-wear.
