    Donna Karan: The Infinity Dress

    image
Ida Hsiang on Nov 27, 2009 5:27 AM PST
I'm completely in love with Donna Karan's The Infinity Dress for the many ways you can wear it oh so stylishly. I'm a huge fan of convertible dressing. Donna Karan takes her minimalist system of dressing even further with the Infinity Dress which can be worn as a dress, top, or skirt. Add a tee, tank, or leggings and instantly expand your wardrobe options. Plus, just think of all the space you'll save in your luggage when you travel! It's the perfect LBD! The Infinity Dress is hitting the stores now ($895 at Neiman Marcus or Saks) and comes in black, red, and ink. Just in time for the holidays!

Trendy Tie-Dyed Pieces That Don't Look Like You Made Them At ...

    image

What is it about tie-dye that seems to just ooze summer spirit? I don't know if it's the bright colors or the fond memories of wringing out freshly-dipped t-shirts on the backyard lawn, but I was always secretly rooting for a tie-dye comeback that didn't look too homemade or too hippie. As if the almighty trendsetters read my mind (it's about time!), tie-dye has been sprouting up all over the place -- high-end and affordable retailers alike -- in every place imaginable, from shoes to shades! While stereotypically the print has always been associated with peace signs, flower children, and campy arts and crafts, this season it's keeping it casual with thong sandals and dressing it up in the form of sexy minidresses. Still not convinced? Take a look at the slideshow and see for yourself how today's tie-dye has gone from hippie to hip!

Racerback, one-shouldered, cross-back, strapless... this season's shoulder-baring tops and dresses are just too hot for any old lingerie. Ever skip out on a dress because you didn't have the right bra for it, or score what you thought was a great deal on another one only to realize you'd need an equally pricey contraption just to keep everything in place? Try the latest strappy solution from Victoria's Secret: the BioFit 7-Way bra. With revolutionary BioFit technology, comfortable fabric, and multiple ways to wear it, you'll think it was custom made just for you! Wear it strapless, one strap, halter, classic, v-front, crisscross or crossback... finally, no style is off-limits! See Modelinia's video footage from backstage at the shoot where VS Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Doutzen Kroes show you how to wear the BioFit 7-Way bra with summer's hottest trends.

Get Blushing In A Red, Pink Or Coral Dress This Valentine's Day!

I've found out that there's tons to prepare for if you're celebrating Valentine's Day with your sweetheart. From reserving a table at the most romantic restaurant in town well in advance to finding that perfect gift, there's a lot of stress leading up to the big day. Why not let us make your life a little easier in the wardrobe department? If you're still looking for that sexy Valentine's Day date dress, read on. One of my favorite fashion quotes comes from famed designer, Bill Blass: "When in doubt, wear red." While a bold bright red may not be right for everyone's style, I've found a wide selection in reds, pinks, and corals. Don't worry, these dresses can be worn again and again (no heart prints in sight!) without anyone wondering why you're in a Valentine's Day getup in June. Then again, I can't vouch for your Christmas sweaters or St. Patrick's Day all-green outfits. A red and white striped nautical-inspired dress is great for a casual date. Coral is one of those totally underrated colors that looks good on most skin tones. Take a look at a one-shoulder ruffle dress by Tibi for a stunning example. LA Fashion Week: Nonja McKenzie's Flirty-Femme Spring Collection

Local LA stylist turned designer Nonja McKenzie shined at Mercedes-Benz LA Fashion Week with her shimmering Spring '09 collection of beaded shifts, satin tops, and silk jumpsuits. Lame and chiffon butterfly-sleeve tops fluttered down the runway, followed by an array of sixties and seventies inspired dresses in soft fabrics and buttery colors. A plethora of flattering wrap dresses with flirtatious ties swinging to and fro brought a certain girlish charm to the collection, while leopard print and silk halter jumpsuits added the necessary sex appeal. Nonja revamped long-sleeved minidresses and body-conscious asymmetrical dresses with ruching down the sides of sleeves and skirts, but her beadwork stole the show with beaded shifts, billowing tops, and my personal favorite--a black and silver beaded eyelash minidress! Check out our favorite looks from Nonja McKenzie's Spring 2009 Collection in the slideshow!
