7 Seriously Alluring (And Wearable!) Leather Mini Dresses

    image

Fashionistas just can't get enough of leather this fall. Moto jacket? Check. Fingerless driving gloves? Check. Liquid leggings? Check, once you work up the nerve to actually wear them. But one thing you may have yet to add to your autumn trend arsenal is a leather dress! I know it sounds risky, since prior to this recent leather invasion you probably associate the material mostly with biker babes and dominatrices, but you may be surprised to find that this season's leather LBDs aren't overdramatic. Instead, the latest leather minis simply provide a sexy sheen to otherwise modest silhouettes like this Gryphon smock dress and this shift dress from Alice + Olivia. Pair with a killer set of ankle booties for your next dressy night out, or add some serious sparkle with a bib necklace and you've got yourself a New Years Eve ensemble (hey, it's never too early to plan ahead)! Check the slideshow for some of my favorite leather dresses.

Go Wild With A Faux Fur Vest This Fall!

    image

My favorite boho-chic models and celebs like Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and of course Rachel Zoe have all been seen throughout the years wearing fur vests. A fur vest is a fun trendy piece to keep around to add a little punch to an otherwise boring jeans and t-shirt outfit. I'm always tempted to buy one for myself, but I'm skeptical about the vest making me look chic rather than like a bulky Eskimo. It also doesn't help that I don't agree with buying fur when plenty of faux fur options are available. So I got to searching for animal and cruelty-free fur vests that look like the real deal and found tons at every price point. Trust Urban Outfitters to have a super shaggy fur vest for only $88. If you're looking to splurge, go for the Gryphon Rocker Vest with eye-catching metallic beading at the neckline. For more faux fur vests, check out my slideshow!

Video Style Steal: Kelly Clarkson Buttons Up, Then Lets Loose ...

If it wasn't clear enough in the previous Kelly Clarkson style steal, I'm totally loving the songstress's comeback as she rides it out, and I fully intend to soak up her rocker-chick presence in the spotlight until she goes back into hibernation and deprives me of catchy breakup therapy tunes for another long while. In the video for her first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," Kelly showed us her softer side with a casual-cool take on her usual edgy style, and now with her second single, "I Do Not Hook Up," Kelly tackles rumors head on and proves that she doesn't need a boy on her arm to complete her outfit! One thing I've always loved about her videos is the way she tells a story through the scenes, and then never fails to break out with a belting chorus in a kick-ass outfit, rocking out with her band behind her. Makes me wish I had my own music-playing entourage to whip my hair in front of! While I'll never be Kelly Clarkson (aside from our matching and nose studs and curvy rear ends), I can at least covet the clothes she dons in the video as she causes a ruckus at an uppity lunch party, then lets loose onstage while out on the town. With a sexy fitted halter dress and studded shoes made to walk all over those misbehaving boys, it's way easier to channel Kelly's looks than it is to sing along to the video on-key! Click SEE VIDEO to watch it for yourself, then check out the slideshow to find out how you can cop her clothing!

Get Entrenched In a "Spring Is Coming" Trench!

    image

Ever since an unknown man boldly sauntered down the streets wearing nothing but a trench-coat and a smile, the look has become synonymous with confidence and raw sex appeal. Okay, I don€™t know if this fashion fable ever really happened, but either way, there€™s no denying that a classic trench-coat is one of those must-have year-round staples that can always be counted on to up the glam quotient on your look. As winter slowly but surely gives way to spring (I don't buy this whole March 21st is the first day of Spring nonsense - it still feels like January to me), the trench is more essential than ever - especially when that famous adage April Showers bring May flowers comes to fruition. Making it even more fun to get entrenched in a trench (I think that's my new favorite saying) is the variety of updated trench styles: organza trenches, sheer trenches, ruffled trenches, bold colored trenches, lightweight trenches, and so much more that will have you wishing for more rainy days. Click SEE SLIDESHOW for some fabulous ways to get trench-ified.
