    Bride's Got Back!

    image
Amber Fijolek on Jun 10, 2009 10:23 AM PDT
All dressed in that angelic and traditional white, the bride has class, beauty, grace, and... that sexy back! With a crowd of loved ones behind you giving you your time of glory on your wedding day, you might as well appease their visual senses with a nice healthy peek of those shoulders and back. While your conventional gown will keep most of you well hidden, it's a great idea to open up and show them just what made your groom-to-be (and Justin Timberlake) so smitten with you. The subtle sexiness of a gown that plays up your backside might be just what you're looking for if you're not straight-laced enough for a more conservative choice-- not to mention, it may be just what you need in the sweat of putting on a warm-weather wedding. Check out my slideshow to see what I mean!

Wedding Accents That Are Preciously Pink!

    image
Amber Fijolek on Apr 8, 2009 8:22 AM PDT
"Make it blue!" "Make it pink!" Princess Aurora of Disney's "The Sleeping Beauty" was always my favorite fairytale princess. Growing up, it was hard not to dream of having a pink gown to dance away forever with my prince charming. On a more serious childhood pink note, when I was young, my mom made three piles in order to do my laundry: lights, darks, and pink. A girl can never have too much pink! The anytime rosy hue is too important to be left out of your wedding day. From bow accents to lace and tulle, pink can, and should, be anywhere you could dream of at your wedding-- even on the groom! If you've got your heart set on tying the knot in springtime, a light, rose petal pink is a way to sneak it in on the softer side, while summer's vibrant coral is pink's hot colored companion for your pairing pleasure. Check out the following picks in the slideshow for ideas on how to sneak pink into your wedding. After all, the saying should be something new, something borrowed, and something pink!

Go Ahead, Give Him The Cold Shoulder: One Shouldered Wedding ...

    image
Amber Fijolek on Apr 1, 2009 9:25 AM PDT
A bride's dress is something the guests and groom have been envisioning since the very thought of her big day. Just as she has the right to flaunt, the Mrs.-to-be is also entitled to some mystery. These days, gown selection can seem a bit overly traditional, with an abundance of styles that are recognizable under any fashion era: the strapless, the halter, the short-sleeved. Add a spank of spunk to wedding tradition with a trend recently rocked by First Lady Michelle Obama with the one-shouldered gown. The subtly different style of gown is flashy enough to show the bride's glamorous glow, yet is still enough of a tease to get the groom counting down to the end of the night. Go ahead -- give your man the cold shoulder one last time... and remember, if Michelle Obama can pull it off, this classy style could be the perfect pick for your perfect day.

Finally -- the rush is over! You've sent the invites, carried the bouquet, and said the "I-do"s: all that's left are the thank yous! Don't worry, everyone knows you've been hard at work preparing the ceremony of the century, and they're not expecting your notes of gratitude anytime soon: you've got 365 days (well, less, if you've honeymooned) to write your guests for the Egyptian cotton linens, candlesticks, massage oils and a book on tantra from the wacky aunt -- yeah, yeah, you know what I'm talking about! While Hallmark's nice and all, why not treat those that have treated you with cards made to match your theme or are just simply crafted with a ravishing class and charm. Whatever your tastes, these paper-trade picks will please the eyes of your irreplaceable family and friends -- so let them know how much you appreciate them and send them something to gawk about with these slideshow tips!

On your wedding day, tie the knot without binding your beau back from his buds. Sure, the wedding is pretty much always about the bride -- but a lot of time, sweat and money is put in by the groom's best mates. Since they're the ones that you'll be sharing your hubby with, it'll be worth it to make sure your honey gives them the gratitude they deserve for standing next to him on your big day -- and what better way than with a nice groomsmen gift? To keep them on your good side -- and his -- the gift should be well-thought out and worthwhile. As tradition has it, there are some items in this slideshow collection that could be expected by any of the groom's guys, but as long as they're carefully selected, unique gifts can also say how much you appreciate your boy's buddies. Take a peek at these groomsmen gift selections for your wedding and make those marital men merry!
