Gossip Girl Returns Tonight With More OMG Style!

Gossip Girl here, and now that school's back in session, it's time for a roll call... S?, B?, Little J? They're all back -- The Upper East side has kept us waiting all summer, and now we've only a few hours before we can see our favorite privileged prep-school crowd in action on tonight's season 3 premiere! Better than the action of our much-gossiped-about New Yorkers are their wardrobes, as costume designer Eric Daman has created style after crave-worthy style that is simply impossible to ignore. This season, with a change of scenery for our older gossip folk as they enter their lives beyond prep school, we're expecting some new looks for the already defined styles of our favorite leading ladies and gents. Serena Van der Woodsen's whimsical boho bit, Blair Waldorf's attention-drawing formality, and Chuck's dapper zeal will have renditions in store to fit their more mature selves. And while the big kids head on off to bigger and better things, on the home-front, little Jenny Humphrey has matured as well; so while she's still deep in her shredded and edgy look, we're dying to see where her new title of Queen Bee will lead her style. One thing we do know: the new Queen has already denounced wearing headbands as crowns at Constance Billard. As for Blair, that's one staple item that may take more than a summer to shake. Take a peek at some Gossip Girl-influenced trends in this slideshow to gear up for tonight's episode!

"Gossip Girl" Gets Even More Fashionable!

    image

Yes, it's possible. As if the clothes on "Gossip Girl" weren't chic enough, now, two very well-known fashion designers are making cameos on the show's upcoming new season. And those women are Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman. Both Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman were spotted at the "Gossip Girl" studio in Long Island, NY, filming scenes for the new season. It's a big secret how the two fashionistas will be woven into the show's plot, but it was revealed that some of the set was made to look like Tory Burch's office. So, we're thinking one of the girls is trying to get a job? Or a college internship? Chapman said, "I am a huge fan [of Gossip Girl]. I was very nervous [on-set]." We have a feeling she did a fine job. We're getting more and more excited about the new season of "Gossip Girl" as we keep hearing about new cast members and guest celebrities. It's gonna be a good one! Tory and Georgina's scenes will air on the October 5th episode. Click on over to our friends at Limelife for more!

Leighton Meester Wears Chris & Jaime Collection In NYC

"Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester was spotted in NYC wearing a slouchy top and rolled shorts from Chris & Jaime Collection. It's not the most exciting outfit by any means, but it just goes to show that she's equally adorable whether in character as the impeccably dressed Blair Waldorf or off-duty in a pared-down look. The rolled slouchy shorts ($165) and "Be Square" top ($77) are available at Poppy NYC. The shorts are a cute albeit expensive alternative to the ubiquitous denim cutoffs, but you can still get the Leighton's look- yes, even if you aren't actually a successful television starlet. Just be sure to add sleek accessories (Leighton's are by Chloe and Jimmy Choo) and you'll avoid looking like you just left the gym. Click the slideshow to see our picks!

When it comes to "Gossip Girl," it isn't just the ladies in the cast who are fashion plates. Frequent Versace wearer Chace Crawford has just been named People's Hottest Bachelor, Penn Badgley did a GQ spread in December, and now Ed Westwick is reminding the world: yes, I used to model. The 21-year-old star has his turn in GQ this month, showing off men's style for the fall (just as it's warming up! Don't you love fashion?). image
Alex Gambardella on May 5, 2009 2:18 PM PDT
There are SO many reasons why we're excited about the "Gossip Girl" spinoff, starring Krysten Ritter and Brittany Snow. The cast, the setting, the prospect of meeting hunky younger Rufus and the mysterious Mr. Van der Woodsen... after seeing photos from the show's first episode, though, we've got another thing to add to the list of things to look forward to: amazing '80s fashion. Yes, the decade that so obviously inspires "Gossip Girl" fashion designer Jenny "neon" Humphrey is on full display in the series premiere. You can't help but be reminded of all the crazy things you wore in the '80s!
Be sure to check out our friends at SOAPnet for the rest of the article, plus a slideshow with more exclusive photos from the spin-off set!
