8 Bandage Booties And Pumps That'll Have Your Feet Under Wraps!

    image

Sure, it's always sad to see a once-hot trend overstay its welcome, but the good news is that some of our favorite styles don't necessarily leave the racks forever -- they just migrate to another department! What the Herve Leger bandage dress (or its more affordable counterparts) did for the body, the bandage bootie does for the feet (well, sort of). We won't go as far as describing the footwear trend as "feet-con" in the spirit of "body-con," but the thick-strapped look is similarly sexy in its banded, wrapped-up appearance. Put a sexy spin on the classic Mary Jane with this banded suede pump by Acne, or go strappy (and save!) with a multi-textured gladiator-style heel from Forever 21. Take a look at the slideshow for 8 varied takes on the bandage heel!

Which Young Starlet Showed Off The Most Grown-Up Fashion ...

This past Saturday, while UCLA students begrudgingly returned to campus as spring break came to a close, their back-to-school blues were made just a little more bearable with a slew of orange carpet celebrity sightings right on campus! Nickelodeon's 2009 Kids' Choice Awards, which takes place annually at the school's Pauley Pavilion, brought to Bruin territory the likes of Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and the whole High School Musical crew, among tons of other Young Hollywood appearances worthy of making any paparazzo drool. While the kids called the shots as far as who received a golden Blimp statuette and who got slimed, it was the ladies who took the cake on the carpet, looking much more like refined young women than their kiddie characters who shot them to fame. Instead of the more casual jeans-and-heels combo that stars have been known to rock at the lesser-hyped award shows geared towards kids and teens, today's younger vixens stepped it up a notch with designer babydolls and platform sandals, showing that they can compete stylewise with even some of fashion's most mature! Vote below on who you think looked the most fab beyond her years! Photo Credit: PR Photos

Style Steal: Be A London Fashion Week Queen Like Agyness Deyn

    image
Greta on Sep 19, 2008 10:17 AM PDT
You simply cannot discuss London Fashion Week without at least a mention of UK supermodel du jour, Agyness Deyn. When not strutting her stuff on the runways, Deyn is most commonly known for her punky rock n' roll style, but at the recent House of Holland Catwalk Show she oozed sexy glamour in a provocative catsuit number. And she didn't just pull it off, but she made it look effortless paired with a chic tweed coat, a bustier-style belt, and of course, stilettos. But how exactly are you going to steal Agyness' risque look? Well, the Hive has tons of cute options that let you fit her look into your style - catsuit and supermodel body not required. Check out my SLIDESHOW to see six items inspired by this look that I found in the Hive!

Stylediary Spotlight: Meet a Sweet Vintage Fashion Blogger ...

Even though Spring is traditionally synonymous with growth, renewal, and new life, for some reason I always feel the need for a style remix come Fall. I usually attribute it to the Back to School shopping bug in anticipation for the start of a new academic calendar (and fueled by the expanding stack of temptation-filled catalogs in my mailbox on a now daily basis). As a result, I have been in a constant search for style inspiration - and I think I have finally found my match! Meet Jones a StyleDiarist with a mad sense of vintage style. Orange County based (and with a rockin' blog all about her vintage finds), Jones refuses to let modern fashion rules dictate what she can and cannot wear. She wears the clothes - not any other way around, and because of this, her eclecticism shines through in all of her featured StyleDiary get-ups. In terms of her personal fashion philosophy, I really can't fathom how to begin to describe it other than by saying that she is a true mixmaster with a fetish for vintage design. She doesn't favor just one style, time period, designer or even color. Instead she uses bits and pieces of them all, and the result is amazing yet completely her own. So open up your notebook, get out your pencil and get ready to take some serious notes. She hits the spot inspiration-wise for me, and I'm already brainstorming ways to blend her timeless yet edgy mixture of style with some of my more classic Fall items. Click over to her StyleDiary to see some of her impressive vintage finds, and click on over to my SLIDESHOW for some of my favorite looks straight from Jones' page!
