    Your gift helps protect the planet against global warming, defending the polar bears' Arctic habitat, one of our Earth's most fragile natural treasures. The ground beneath the polar bears' feet is literally disappearing as polar ice caps melt away. With summers lasting longer than they did twenty years ago, the winters are delayed. For every week that this happens, a female polar bear loses at least 20 pounds of body fat – the vital layer of protection she needs to nourish a bear cub. Global warming threatens the polar bears' home and their ability to care for their young. This priceless offering helps protect the planet by supporting the Natural Resource Defense Council's legal battle to fight global warming, so that both polar bears and people will continue to enjoy the sanctuary of our shared home.

90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord collected kisses for the troops today as part of a Cosmopolitan and Maybelline New York Veteran's Day benefit event. Maybelline and Cosmo are donating $1 to the USO for each kiss collected between 7 AM and 7 PM in an attempt to set a new record for the number of kiss-stamped postcards to be sent overseas! If you're in the NYC area, catch the Cosmo vehicle and they'll provide you with their new ColorSensational lipstick, a postcard, and the opportunity to write a message. The postcards will then be delivered to military bases overseas on New Year's Eve, so the troops will get kisses at midnight!
