In our fast-paced society of instant gratification and non-stop networking (we can't even keep in touch with friends guilt-free on Facebook without calling it "networking"), it is easy to become stressed and harried. Even weekends, the lone couple of days we had to rest and recuperate, are now filled with playing catch-up for the office or partaking in fun, but taxing activities that don't let our bodies just sit back, take a deep breath, and truly relax. The next time you get a some vacation time, treat yourself to somewhere that is fun, interesting and will also give you some time to really breathe a sigh of relief. Try Berlin, Germany and stay at the beautifully streamlined Lux Eleven hotel. Imagine Calvin Klein had designed the interiors and you have the modern minimalism of steel and hardwood in a clean and spacious area. Now imagine Hello Kitty completed a touch of the finishing details and you get the the hot pink lobby and roll out carpet, the pink and purple striped blankets atop starkly contrasting black and white, and the twinkling, spherical lights flanking the hallways- basically, de-cluttered glam in a minimalist setting. The rooms are amazing as well, with anything from value rooms to penthouses available, all of which come furnished with a seating area and kitchenette to make you feel even more relaxed and at home. Still a little stressed? The Lux Eleven provides a spa and healing center that uses different programs and treatments, as well as plant-derived Aveda products to put you at ease, mind, body and soul. Shopping more the name of your game? Their Ulf Haines store offers pieces straight from the collection from big name designers like Balmain and Ann Demeulemeester and if spa treatments and shopping leave you hungry, the hotel also houses a meticulously decorated restaurant and bar that serves the finest in food and beverage. Check out the slideshow for a closer look ar Berlin's simply gorgeous Lux Eleven hotel and start planning your perfectly peaceful getaway today!

Have you been spending too much time sucked into the monotony of your work routine and need a vacation that will simultaneously provide relaxation and an in-your-face dose of artistic expression? If so, I've found the perfect place for you to kick back! Berlin's Arte Luise Kunsthotel is located within view of the Reichstag building and the Spree river, providing you with the prime location for a little culture and history lesson. The hotel itself, which dates back to 1825, is so imaginative in its design it hardly looks real, even after a few dozen blinks to convince yourself you're not hallucinating. Each of the hotel's 50 rooms has been decorated by a different renowned artist, featuring an array of original themes from Comic to Shoe Fetish, and seemingly transports you inside the psyche of the artist -- no matter how whimsical or twisted -- providing a getaway within a getaway just within the walls of your room! Don't let the establishment's old-fashion roots fool you though -- its modern amenities help provide the comforts of home while you enjoy the hotel's artistic decor and the city's rich historical significance. Check the slideshow for a glimpse of the hotel's unique rooms!

First it was Fruchtzwerg and now it's Mocca-- this means I must have a thing for German Stylediarists! I guess the grass really is greener on the other side. Mocca is an art student and fashion designer from Dresden, Germany with a platinum blonde coif and an amazing vintage-inspired wardrobe. I love going through her StyleDiary because she always looks put together, but never costumey. Mocca is also a great example of someone who knows how to enhance their best features, hers being her small waist and great legs. So get inspired by Mocca and play up your best assets! Be sure to check out my SLIDESHOW for some of my favorite looks from Mocca!

Style Hero: Her Bra Saved Her Life!

An American hiker stranded for days in the Bavarian Alps has been rescued after using - get this - her sports bra to attract the attention of her would-be rescuers. Apparently the 24 year old attached the underthing to a cable that made its way down to a group of lumberjacks, who were then able to contact rescue units. Wonder how she knew that that the universal signal for distress among timber workers was underwear? We don't recommend trying this at home, but if you must, while those lacy La Perlas attract a whole lot of attention elsewhere, they're far too delicate for life or death situations. But maybe I'm wrong?
