In our fast-paced society of instant gratification and non-stop networking (we can't even keep in touch with friends guilt-free on Facebook without calling it "networking"), it is easy to become stressed and harried. Even weekends, the lone couple of days we had to rest and recuperate, are now filled with playing catch-up for the office or partaking in fun, but taxing activities that don't let our bodies just sit back, take a deep breath, and truly relax. The next time you get a some vacation time, treat yourself to somewhere that is fun, interesting and will also give you some time to really breathe a sigh of relief. Try Berlin, Germany and stay at the beautifully streamlined Lux Eleven hotel. The rooms are amazing as well, with anything from value rooms to penthouses available, all of which come furnished with a seating area and kitchenette to make you feel even more relaxed and at home. Still a little stressed? The Lux Eleven provides a spa and healing center that uses different programs and treatments, as well as plant-derived Aveda products to put you at ease, mind, body and soul. Hot In The Hive: Beer In A Boot For Father's Day!

    image

Father's Day is a step around the corner and I never know what to get my dad! I crossed ties off the list many years ago (he made me), he probably has bathrobe and slipper sets to last him two lifetimes, and all those cool gadgets and grill tools that my brother and I were gonna go halfsies on? He's already bought them for himself! So, I think this year, I will go for a gift that's something fun mixed with something a little traditional. Most men like beer... maybe even borderline love. Men have loved beer throughout the ages so much that German soldiers would drink it out of their boots, rather than not drink it at all! So this Father's Day, get your dad the gift of tradition and beer with a glass beer boot from HomeWetBar! These glass boots hold up to 18 oz of beer which is about half a liter. Not big enough? They also come in two liter boot sizes! Dad may be sick of getting house slippers, but here's some footwear that he'll love to get out and use again and again! At $20 each, get a pair of beer boots and join your father for a Father's Day brewski!

    Price: $19.95

Stylediarist Akinam Has Tomboy Chic Down To A Tee (And Jeans)

Once again I found myself scrolling through StyleDiary for fashion firsts and wardrobe wants, only to find another favorite StyleDiarist Akinam! She's hip and blond, so of course she's from Germany! What I love (read, envy) about Akinam's style is how she can transform from chic tomboy to floral femme without missing a step! Although her favorite colors are white, grey, and black, Akinam's looks span a wide spectrum, jeans and a soft T-shirt to a rather girlish frilly dress. I'm in awe over this leather jacket that Akinam pulls off so effortlessly. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I could squeeze this simple off-the-shoulder cotton top into my wardrobe closet--just a thought! Get ideas and inspiration for your closet in my SLIDESHOW of my favorite looks from Akinam's StyleDiary!
