Lindsay, Shakira, And Mischa Glam It Up At The Whitney Gala

The red carpet was certainly rolled out last Monday night at the annual Whitney Musuem Gala for its parade of high-profile attendees from across the film, fashion, and art industries. While guests like Shakira, Chanel Iman, and Alexa Chung discussed their own artistic talents (or lack thereof) over filet mignon appetizers, drooled over Gerard Butler, and listened to Jennifer Hudson's show-stopping mid-dinner performance, other gala-goers couldn't help but just people-watch. After all, Lindsay Lohan was quite a... vision in that daringly short gold dress. And Taylor Momsen's thigh-high slit complete with fishnet stockings was an interesting sight in the context of such a black-tie affair. Both were reportedly mistaken for the event's host, Donatella Versace -- which can either be perceived as somewhat of a compliment or... not so much. Anna Wintour, Coco Rocha, Or Iman: Who Stole The Show At The ...

Any type of award show or gala or red carpet event is exciting. The flashbulbs and the paparazzi, the celebrities and of course, the main event itself! But, we all know the most appealing and fun part of these functions: Who is wearing what? The American Ballet Theater held its 69th Annual Spring Gala on May, 18th and dozens of celebrities and famous names and faces came out in their most elegant floor-sweeping gowns to help celebrate the event. Held at the Metropolitan Opera House, a steady stream of celebrities and beauties sashayed past photographers and showed off their beautiful gowns. Anna Wintour showed her fashion roots in an ankle-length gown with origami pleating details and an elegant mottled pattern that showed off her impressive figure. Coco Rocha stunned in a bright, ocean blue, off-the-shoulder ruffled number that contrasted beautifully with her fiery hair and porcelain skin. Iman showed who was top model in an eye-catching, one-shouldered ball gown in peridot green, playing up her skin's gorgeous tone. Which style-savvy fashionista do you think stole the spotlight? Metropolitan Opera recently celebrated their 125th anniversary with a star studded gala in Lincoln Center. The gala honored the opera's 125 year history with over four hours of brief arias to extended scenes, totaling 23 different operas in all! Best part is, the gala raised $6.3 million, which was much needed. However, you don't have to be a fan of the opera to appreciate the event. The red carpet was quite a scene as our favorite celebs came in extremely fashionable droves! From Ginnifer Goodwin, Claire Danes, and Kanye West, there sure was a lot of great clothes and personalities to admire. While it was tough to choose our favorites, we narrowed it down to just four and we want to know what you think? Were you a fan of Diane Kruger's glittering bustier with blue satin skirt? Or maybe Zoe Saldana's dark green silk chiffon strapless number was more your style.
