Spend Time In Your Backyard Or Patio With New Outdoor Furniture

After a long and cold winter and spring quickly passing us by, it's finally getting nice enough to spend more time outdoors! From lounging by the poolside to spending some serious time at the grill, nothing beats spending time in your very own backyard. But if you've recently discovered that your outdoor furniture didn't survive the winter (cracked wood or rusted metal), then it's high time to upgrade. I've also got some buying tips to make sure you get the most bang out of your buck. When buying metal furniture, look for labels that say they're powder coated and rust resistant. For wood furniture, teak is best, but it's also very expensive and slow growing. Instead, look for eucalyptus wood, which is sustainable and is water resistant. Who says outdoor furniture has to be hard and uncomfortable? I'd be happy sit on the Corsica Outdoor Oversized Chair all day long. In need for seating space and storage? Get the Chesapeake Bench Ice Chest which keeps all your drinks ice cold and the lid lowers into an extra seating space. Check out my slideshow for more outdoor furniture ideas. Just remember to store everything in a safe place in the winter so you don't have to buy new outdoor furniture every year!

Recession Chic: Add Unique Art To Your Home On A Shoestring ...

I love flipping through home decor magazines and blogs to find my own home decorating inspirations. I recently went though all the tear outs I've saved and found that most of the pages I really liked featured rooms with lots of art. Whether it's hanging on the walls or standing on floors and tables, a room with some nice art definitely sends a cultured vibe. But anyone who's walked into a gallery knows that art isn't cheap, right? Nope! There's no need to spend your life savings on decorating your home with art. These days you can find meaningful and unique art at practically bargain basement prices. Show off your bring with some clear glass diamond shaped sculpture you can use as a paperweight or conversation piece. Short on space? A graceful bust can do double duty as a necklace holder as well. Check out my slideshow for more art you won't have to rob a museum to get!

Save Your Body! Save the World! (With Green Workout Gear)

If you're reading this, you probably fall into one of two camps. You're a workout goddess hell bent on getting the body of your dreams in 2008 (and good for you for actually sticking to that New Year's resolution!), or, you've fallen off the workout wagon and are in serious need of new motivation. Either way, is there a better way to continue (or kick start) plans for the new, svelte you than by adding some hot new clothes to your wardrobe? And what's not to love about the idea of helping out the planet while you get your sweat on?
