    image
Alex Gambardella on Aug 21, 2009 7:18 AM PDT
Last week, actress Megan Fox won the award for "Female Hottie" alongside Robert Pattinson at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, California. Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai created a young tousled, soft and sexy look for Megan, perfect for strutting the red carpet and accepting her life-size surfboard onstage. Below she shares how to create the look yourself!

The Look: Tousled, soft and sexy

How to Get the Look: In order to achieve Megan Fox's soft and sexy summer look Renato started out by using FEKKAI COIFF Strong Hold Volume Mousse on damp hair to create sexy texture that holds. He then air-dried her hair his fingers and used a one-inch curling iron to make long soft waves and give the hair a modern and fresh feeling. He then spritzed the hair with FEKKAI GLOSSING Sheer Shine Mist to add shine and finished with FEKKAI Sheer Hold Hair Spray to maintain the look all show long.

Back-To-School Beauty: 10 Products To Keep In Your Locker

    image

Yup, it's that time of year again. The dreaded first day of school is fast approaching. And what better way to soften the blow of having to kiss your summer freedom goodbye than makeup shopping? After all, three-ring binders and dorm room decor aren't the only things you need to stock up on when it comes to preparing to hit the books again. In order to really be ready for the semester ahead (and treat yourself in the process), you ought to look at some portable locker loot that you can keep on-hand for mid-day makeup emergencies and touch-ups during passing periods. For example, imagine how much sweeter the day would be if you could stop by your locker for a quick spritz of your favorite fragrance or a swipe of blush to add some color to your just-saw-your-test-grade ghostly complexion! Even if you're way past your locker days, check out the slideshow for some handy to-go products you can keep in your schoolbag, desk, or car for the long and studious days ahead!

Get Beachy Waves And Sun-Safe Locks With Summer's Must-Have ...

While your carefree summer attitude may be easy and breezy, your unruly sun-stroked hair may be whistling a different tune (if hair could whistle, of course). The cloudless skies, high temperatures, and overall perfect beach weather unfortunately also brings harmful UV rays, frizzing humidity, and fried follicles... not to mention heat-induced laziness that'll have you feeling "blah" towards your regular hairdo but not motivated enough to put an hour's worth of effort into your style. The solution? Summer's best sun-fighting hair products, of course, from hydrating heat-screening serum to sea salt spray for effortlessly perfect beachy waves. If your hair's super hopeless, you can try them all and collect an entire arsenal of summer haircare... or just tackle your hair's heat woes one at a time and check out the slideshow for the best summer coif pick-me-ups, protectants, and detoxes!

8 Steps To Salon-Worthy Straight Hair: First Tell Your Old ...

Unfortunately for me, I'm not the kind of girl who has ever had the luxury (or the guts) to just waltz out of the house with damp, freshly-showered hair, knowing that it will just dry "au natural" and magically fall into place in an hour or two. Since my natural coif is most accurately described as "frizz ball," "rat's nest," or "bushwoman" (and I just don't have the nerve to rock any of those looks in public), I've been around the block with my share of flat irons. As a result, I've perfected the act of at-home hair-straightening to an efficient art, free of arm cramps and follicle-frying woes that many less-experienced tress flatteners tend to suffer from. While I don't condone punishing your unruly locks by attacking them with a flat iron every day, as heat overload will just cause your mane to misbehave even more, straight hair doesn't have to be a chore saved only for special occasions, and it doesn't have to take hours out of your day! Click READ MORE for eight simple steps to you can use to achieve a stress-free straight mane!

While this year's Oscars may have gone to the Slumdogs, everyone was a winner on the red carpet when it came to show-stealing looks in fashion and beauty. While we've already gone ga-ga over the gorgeous gowns that floated from the carpet to the stage on all of Hollywood's stunning starlets, everyone knows that an Academy Award ensemble isn't complete without an equally glamorous up-do. From elegant swept-back styles like Best Actress winner Kate Winslet's to chic side buns like Marisa Tomei's and loose and tousled half-down waves like Jessica Biel's, award show-worthy hair may look like a million bucks, but according to Frederic Fekkai stylists Renato Campora and Adir Abergel, creative coifs like these don't need to cost an arm and a leg -- in fact, you can even do it yourself with the right products and tools!
