Let Stylehive's Stylescopes Predict Your Perfect Print!

Color blocking and tried and true solids are great for numerous occasions, but cosmic powers have stated that prints are the way to go! Prints add interest to an outfit and are a good way to show your personal taste and style. An all-over tribal print dress really makes a statement while a printed scarf is a subtle nod to the trend. Prints and patterns are all over the place from runways to retail stores and are offered in a wide array of looks that either add a sweetly feminine spin or show trendy hipster style. Florals, ethnic prints, polka dots... they're all cute, but not every print works for everyone! So while that floral print skirt looks great on your best friend, you may be more suited for a funky tribal pattern. With all the options out there, how do you find the time to try them all on? Let the stars guide you to the perfect print that flatters and shows your own unique fashion sense. Check out the slideshow and see what prints you should try this week!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM Runway: Cia Maritima

Well, if someone's gotta bring the Latin flavor to the Mercedes Benz SWIM runway, it might as well be Brazilian beachwear designer Cia.Maritima! The show started off relatively slow, giving us a glimpse of some undoubtedly unique watercolor animal prints that put a soft spin on a traditionally wild design. Things slowly began to simmer with the introduction of boldly printed string bikinis and then reached an eventual boiling point with the parade of dare-to-bare cutout bikinis and structured monokinis that left everyone feeling hot, hot, hot! It wasn't all about the skin-baring ensembles though- the designer wowed with an impressive array of sheer and Grecian-inspired caftans and cover ups, and the details weren't to be missed either- the bold cuffs and strappy arm embellishments were just as alluring. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SWIM Runway: TIBI

If there's one thing a Tibi runway never fails to lack, it's plenty of color... and this year's Miami Swim show was no exception! While there was little variety in the cut of the suits, which mainly alternated between minimal-coverage bikinis and one-pieces bearing deep necklines (with a couple one-shoulder numbers thrown into the mix), the abundance of bright, tropical prints seemed practically bottomless! If the tribal-gone-funky theme was not apparent enough with the models' cuffed forearms, gold metal sandals, and idol symbol jewelry dangling from their ears and necklines, the suits' many patterns -- from neon geometric tribal designs to tropical orchid-inspired florals -- cleared up all possible doubt. Even among the sea of shocking pink and turquoise suits, a particularly gorgeous magenta tunic dress stood out, trailing a flowing train of silk in its path and closing the show in the fiercest way possible. Hot In The Hive: Thermos-Minis by Crea Crea And Crescioni Vanina!

You almost wouldn't expect something so whimsically designed and sweetly packaged from the seriously sophisticated and cynically chic French! Just to prove that they are always unpredictable and one-step ahead, French designers Crea Crea and Crescioni Vanina are introducing Thermos-minis! These cute little drink containers are the baby-siblings of the huge, heavy, stainless steel versions that my dad lugs around in order to save money on coffee. They are obviously smaller, but still hold enough that you won't be left wanting more caffeine after drinking the last drops. These Thermos-minis hold about 8 oz of whatever drink you want... hot, cold, or spiked (just kidding). Besides keeping a good temperature on your drinks (because if it didn't, it wouldn't be a Thermos), these Thermos-minis also come in an array of fun and colorful designs and patterns. Personalize your morning pick-me-up by choosing anything from Asian-inspired floral patterns to multi-colored dots and shapes! There's even ones that resemble a tiny man or an umbrella toting frog! All the designs are different, but all are whimsical, care-free and full of bright color. Their size allows you to pop them into a purse or tote, or to throw into the backseat of a car. No more cookie-cutter, silver steel thermoses that need their own carrier just to transport them around!

    Price: $38.00

Summer Florals For Your Inner Retro Girlie-Girl

    image

Summer weekends were made for swingy floral frocks like this one from Unique Vintage - brightly hued, unapologetically feminine, and sweet (like you!). The vintage styling begs for feminine accessories that are ladylike, but not too retro (lacks imagination) which is why this geometric bamboo bag couldn't be more perfect. With anything pink - ditto red, green, or royal purple - never ever be tempted to wear shoes that match...it looks beyond cheesy. Instead, go for nude tones both with your bag & shoes (these are by Easy Spirit) - which have the added benefit of making your legs look that much longer. To complete the picture, add some delicate amethyst and gold earrings and coordinating rose-tinted Miu Miu sunglasses. Check out FashionTribes for more!
