Hot In The Hive: LaCie iamaKey USB Flash Drive

I have to say that the first USB flash drive I ever owned was a whopping 512MB model. I know, I know, how did I ever fit my entire life in that little storage device? I could only use it to hold essays and other documents to print at the school lab and maybe a few song files too. The worst part was that it was terribly designed to boot! It came with a little cap that you could attach to your keychain, but one day I discovered I still had the cap and no flash drive. So maybe it was a good thing it only held 512MB of information! Anyway, I've happily moved on to greener pastures with a bigger and better flash drive, but finding the LaCie iamaKey USB Flash Drive has made me seriously consider buying another one. The key shaped flash drives comes in either 4GB or 8GB models with a water- and scratch-resistant connector, assuring that your files will stay safe. It's all one piece, so just string it along with your real keys and you're good to go!

    Price: $26.99-36.99

I've committed to being more responsible when it comes to technology. Whether it's keeping all those cords tangle free and organized behind my desk or backing up all my data on a regular basis, it doesn't all have to be dry and boring! A technology lifestyle and fashion lifestyle may not always seem like they go together, but with accessories like the Mimoco USB flash drive, you get the best of both worlds. With a USB flash drive, I can have all my important documents (like the upcoming Fashion Week schedule), custom mix audio tracks from my musically inclined friends, and all those photos I've been meaning to print out since Halloween. Best part is that the Mimoco flash drives comes with a "hoodie" with an attachment to my keychain for easy portability. From Star Wars characters to the limited edition Artist Series, the hardest part is how to choose your favorite! To help make up your mind, take a look at the slideshow for a dose of ultra-cuteness.

It's sad, but we all have them- those boring looking USB drives that hold all our important documents, photos, and even the latest hit songs. While the contents can be boring too, it doesn't have to be housed in a device devoid of personality. Whether it's the playful and nostalgic Lego- style flash drives that combine your favorite childhood toy and modern day necessity or a Swarovski crystal-encrusted flash drive with enough bling worthy of a hip-hop star, you're sure to make a statement. So don't be surprised if your friends and co-workers are green with envy the next time you share your favorite mp3 or Powerpoint presentation. Check out my SLIDESHOW for my favorite USB drives in the Hive!
