    Who Had The Best 'Do At The "Good Hair" Premiere?

    For a celebrity, it's always vital to look your best wherever paparazzi might be present (like, uh, everywhere?)... so naturally a Los Angeles film premiere is no occasion to slack off, no matter how casual the affair. But when the film is Chris Rock's docu-comedy "Good Hair," the pressure is on to be more than just impeccably clothed. Last week's Westwood debut brought forth a throng of fashionable ladies to the red carpet, including Gabrielle Union and Nia Long who both showed off bouncy curly coifs that hardly seemed as high-maintenance as the film subjects' stressed-out tresses. And Eve and Raven-Symone were looking perfectly polished from their feet to their follicles with their shiny straightened locks that at least looked fuss-free and effortless (and that's all that matters, right?).     If You Haven't Seen "The September Issue," Here's Why You Should

    Anna Wintour. Just her name can cause successful designers and big-shots in the fashion industry to tremble slightly in their butter-soft Italian leather boots. The well-known, cold, and demanding character of Miranda Priestly from "The Devil Wears Prada" was said to have been based not so loosely around Anna Wintour. Of course, when they announced "The September Issue" was coming out, all fashionable females and style-savvy men were more than a little excited- a real look into the conception and making of, arguably, the world's most famous fashion magazine, often unofficially referred to as the Bible of Fashion Magazines? At first, you'd almost almost expect the documentary to showcase Anna barking orders, tearing apart people's hard work and making life in general miserable to all those around her, just because she can. While there are instances where she leans towards behaving much like her fictional movie counterpart, you get to see a surprisingly softer side of Anna that includes genuine smiles and sincere praises. You get a glimpse into her personal life with input from her daughter and candid comments about her family, revealing they don't take her role in fashion quite as seriously as many of us do. You get to see that her ruthless, no-nonsense attitude comes more from a need to be efficient in a hectic, ever-changing, fast-paced world and that, despite the fact that she may eliminate many seemingly great ideas and projects born from blood, sweat and tears, there is no malicious intent behind it and that she does indeed have a great eye for what makes an issue 'perfect.' Most importantly, you realize that, although she is aware of her status in the fashion industry, she truly appreciates those around her that have raw talent and help make Vogue what it is today, like long-time colleague and friend, Grace Coddington, and that she believes in new talent, like her help with promoting Thakoon. So if you consider yourself a fashionably knowledgeable individual, I recommend that you hurry to see this movie and let it open your eyes!

    The Coveted Takes A Peek At Sephora's Window Theatrics

    I didn't partake in any Fashion's Night Out activities-- too much temptation to spend my life savings. But this Sephora event in New York looks like it was awesome. Temptu, famous for their airbrush makeup, created living art at the Sephora on 5th Avenue, recreating work they've done for cinema and fashion. They crafted a variety of looks, like those from an Italian Vogue spread, Robert DeNiro's character in Cape Fear (if only DeNiro had looked so yummy), and the movie The Stepford Wives. I'm not quite sure where I would wear numbers all over my face, but I totally would if I could find the right occasion! They really drew a crowd as they airbrushed models in the storefront windows for eight hours. They also lured tons of customers looking to get airbrushed and photographed for a mock fashion mag cover. Now that's a good time!     Rumer Or Rachel: Who Wore Her Stella McCartney Blazer Better?

    Fashionistas who invest in a Stella McCartney piece are probably looking forward to an outfit that's sexy, stylish and unique... Unfortunately, when you're fashionable and famous, it's not rare to find someone spotted on the red carpet wearing the same thing! But you can't really blame the actresses who were inadvertently playing "twinzies" for the day -- both Rumer Willis and Rachel McAdams looked hot in their Stella McCartney Lace Noir blazers, and both succeeded in making it their own at their respective events! Rumer wore hers at the "Sorority Row" premiere, belted over a pair of tight black dress pants and suede pumps, while Rachel rocked hers overseas at the Deauville Film Festival, tucked under a high-waisted skirt with black peep-toes.     How Do You Prefer Brad: White-Hot Or Dark & Handsome?

    This past week has been a big one for Brad Pitt (then again, when isn't it a good week to be Brad Pitt?) with the recent Hollywood premiere of his latest film, Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Decked out in head-to-toe black, save for a pair of gold-rimmed aviators and some goatee scruff, he looked sharp as always and accessorized flawlessly with leather-clad Angelina Jolie on his arm for nearly the entire night. Despite all the excitement, he wasn't too busy to lend support to pals Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams at the NYC premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife just two days later -- only this time dressed in head-to-toe white... with a similar pair of aviators and the same scruffy facial hair. Uh, Brad? What's with the monochromatic menswear? While we understand the desire to match and coordinate, that doesn't mean you need to wear all the same color... especially when these suit shades can hardly even be considered "colors!" I guess there's no use complaining -- the man still looks good, no matter how much variation he seems to lack. Personally, I enjoy him most in his wide-open bathrobe in Fight Club, but since that's not an option, vote below on which one-color ensemble you like best: Brad in white or Brad in black?
