Watch A Preview Of "The September Issue," Coming To Theaters ...

If your understanding of the inner-workings of the fashion magazine industry is loosely based on repeated viewings of The Devil Wears Prada, get thee to a theater this fall when long-awaited documentary "The September Issue" is finally released. Directed by R.J. Cutler, the film showcases Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour in a light that few people aside from her tight-knit circle of friends and editors have or will ever see her. Behind Wintour's sunglasses and iconic bob haircut is a woman whose taste, opinion, and foresight determines the course of American fashion and the place it holds within the industry worldwide. Designers create collections for all sorts of reasons, above all to impress her-- it's no wonder she's garnered a reputation as someone to be feared. Though tense and demanding on many levels, the film is simultaneously refreshing and entertaining, and truly a rare glimpse into a world that we think we know so much about. The cameras take us through meetings, fashion weeks, and photo shoots so we can gain more understanding of the immense effort that goes into creating the magazine's most important issue. Aware of how she is perceived by those outside of her immediate circle, Wintour remains graceful and unapologetic-- after all, it is her job. The film stars Wintour alongside Grace Coddington, Andre Leon Talley, Patrick Demarchelier and Oscar De La Renta, and will be released on August 28th in NYC and on September 11th nationwide. Sao Paolo Fashion Week's Hottest Male Models, Just Because

Some girls have all the luck-- and just this once, I was one of them. I just returned from Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil where I got a chance to check out dozens of the country's most amazing brands from international stars Alexandre Herchcovitch to local-- and very campy-- heroes like Dudu Bertholini, co-designer of Neon. As wonderful as the haute couture was, it didn't hold a candle to the hot boys who modeled them. Some were blonds, others brunettes, others red heads-- and all sexy. There really were too many to choose from, but I made the Herculean effort required to narrow it down to my top ten.

Fashion Week may be over, but that doesn't mean the beautiful makeup looks should be forgotten! I love going backstage to get the scoop on the makeup looks because usually, the products used are already available in stores, so while we have to wait for the clothes to hit the rack, we can recreate the beauty looks right now! To capture the soft, feminine styles and clean lines of the Brian Reyes Fall 2009 collection, makeup artist Nicolas Degennes for Givenchy Le Makeup created a fresh look with clean, matte skin and dramatic, captivating eyes. This presentation was actually the first time Givenchy was the featured makeup line for runway show. According to Nicolas, who also created the line, "This collaboration with Brian was appealing to me because his clothes capture the sophistication, modernity, and luxurious feeling of Le Makeup." The makeup look was soft and feminine, with just the right dose of intensity and the best part is that it's pretty easy to re-create on your own!

    Get the Look:
Face: Keep the skin clean and matte using using Subli'Mine Fluid Foundation, $40 for a natural complexion (Note: PhotoPerfexion Fluid Foundation was the actual foundation used and will be available in April).
Cheeks: Dust Prisme Again! Blush, $40, in Smiling Brown onto the cheeks for neutral skin that has a bit of life to it.
Eyes: Heavily line the eyes with Magic Kajal Intense Eye Pencil, $21.50. Apply Shadow Show, $23, in Must-Have Beige and Khaki to the lids. To create a smoky effect, apply Shadow Show in Dressy Black on the crease. Finish with Phenomen'Eyes Mascara, $28, for dramatic lashes.
Lips: Keep the lips natural and simple with Rouge Interdit, $27 in Rose Desire a shade of pink that matches the natural color of the lips.

Lisbon Fashion Week HeartCore Winter 2010: Nuno Baltazar

Last Saturday, Portuguese designer Nuno Baltazar showed off his Winter 2010 Collection on Day 3 of Lisbon Fashion Week in Cascais, Portugal, and he had every reason to be proud of the parade of satiny sheaths that floated gracefully down the runway. While the sophisticated-yet-predictable pieces that cascaded down the catwalk in the first half of the show threatened to put Baltazar in the "yawn" category due to the monochromatic grays and redundant belted silhouettes, the collection suddenly took a turn for the exciting in its second half with an unexpectedly brilliant palette of contrasting yellow and purple color-blocked dresses and deep sea blue ruffled gowns. The bare-faced, wispy-haired models served as the appropriately understated muses on which the brightly-toned and delicately-draped dresses really popped and truly allowed the careful construction and brilliant colors speak for themselves. Lisbon Fashion Week HeartCore Winter 2010: Miguel Vieira ...

We've all heard of Fashion Week in New York, Paris, and other fashion capitals, but some of the most exciting and original clothing can also be found in lesser known yet still fashionable cities like Amsterdam, and now, Lisbon. Portuguese designer Miguel Vieira showed his Fall 2009 collection at Lisbon Fashion Week, featuring a dark color palette and architectural shapes. Dresses were perfectly draped with some with cinched waists with large obi-like belts. One sleeveless sheath dress with oversized bow and brooch seemed perfectly suited for a certain American First Lady. I can also imagine other evening gowns being worn by more fashionably adventurous celebrities such as Tilda Swinton. Beauty looks from the runway that would be fun to experiment with are red eyeshadow all across the lid, pink lips, and a sleek bouffant poof hairstyles.
