Heidi Klum Will Host The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

We're almost a bit surprised that Heidi Klum is hosting the Victoria's Secret fashion show instead of modeling in it. Of course, she did just have a baby a couple weeks ago, but you know how Heidi is. The last time Heidi Klum had a baby, she decided she still wanted to walk the runway in the Victoria's Secret fashion show. But this time, she just doesn't think she can do it. According to Heidi, "The last time [I gave birth], I had two months, and I don't know if I have that much time this time... It was pushing it the last time. But if I don't make it, I'm sure I'll be very sad." So, even though Heidi will only have weeks between giving birth and the fashion show this year, she still wants to be a part of it. And obviously hosting the show is a really big part of it!

Kenley Collins Showcases For A Good Cause At The Forte ...

There's nothing like a benefit fashion show to make you feel good for once about all the time and money you invest in your love of clothes! The Seam Collective, a NYC-based alliance dedicated to the advancement of female designers, sponsored the Spring/Summer 2010 Forte Charity Fashion Show, which took place last week, boasting Project Runway season 5 alum Kenley Collins as the headliner. 50% of ticket proceeds went to support Gilda's Club, a program that raises money for cancer patients and their families. Alongside Kenley, who presented a chic Amelia Earheart-inspired collection, emerging designers Sheila Frank, Elizabeth Rynish, and Marissa Erskine also presented their Ready To Wear lines to the event's eager turnout. We especially love Sheila Frank's button-up romper and Elizabeth Rynish's swirled paint patterns! Check out the slideshow for some pictures from the runway!

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Doo. Ri

Doo. Ri has always been known for soft, fluid fabrics and innovative, but completely wearable designs that showcase modern twists on classically feminine styles. Using a sweetly somber palette of creams, blues and metal grey tones, designer Doo. Ri Chung edged out her designs with tiny chain and mesh overlays. There was a large variety of dresses, skirts and short shorts that featured details such as clever draping, soft, fluttering tiers, origami-inspired pleats and, as the trends have predicted, high hemlines to show off long, tanned legs for the next spring and summer seasons. Doo. Ri presented a collection of sexy and modern dresses and skirts that still manage to be alluringly feminine. See more from Doo. Ri at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in the slideshow!

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Rebecca Taylor

Bright colors, edgy metallics and fluid lines seem to be the theme this year at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010, and Rebecca Taylor's collection on day five was one of our favorites, showcasing a variety of sweetly feminine and totally modern takes on this year's current and upcoming trends. Shiny silvers, asymmetrical ruffles and girly floral prints were punctuated with exaggerated silhouettes, giving the runway a flirty look that reminded one of a nautical space-age. Looser fits were contrasted by body-con dresses and legs were all over the place in pouf and pencil minis, tailored shorts and satin sheaths, giving the models a look of cabana-chic. Check out the slideshow to see more Rebecca Taylor favorites from her Spring/ Summer 2010 runway collection!

New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Derek Lam

Derek Lam presented his bright and breezy spring 2010 collection on day four of New York Fashion Week. He used bold colors to stimulate the eye and kept silhouettes soft and clean, letting the bright hues take center stage. Bandanna-like neck adornments in contrasting colors gave his simple and laid-back luxe designs a feel of urban-cowboy edge. Derek Lam's designs looked light and comfortable and very feminine with draped tops, fluid lines and high hemlines. Spring variations of current trends could be seen in the vividly hued turquoise and lime green one-pieces (are they risque rompers? A new take on swimsuits?) and the sweetly sophisticated floral garments. It seems like Lam is a little reluctant to let go of the sunny days of summer as many of his pieces had the models looking like a casually chic, retro-inspired women taking a stylish stroll on the beach or boardwalk and has me excited for the spring season! Check out the slideshow to see some favorites from Derek Lam's Spring/Summer 2010 collection at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week!

Amsterdam International Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010: Ontfront

    image
Fleur VandenBerge on Aug 14, 2009 10:18 AM PDT
Initially started in 2005 as a platform for young designers and artists, Ontfront didn't take long to get swept up by the fashion scene. The line found its niche in a creative and functional fusion of urban streetwear and professionalism known as Sidewalk Tailoring. Nowadays, Ontfront is a statement and huge success within the Amsterdam fashion and club scene. National and international fashion-forward celebrities like Emmy Award nominated DJ Diplo and Musiq Soulchild are dressed in some of their designs. For the Spring/Summer 2010 collection that Ontfront showed at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week, they continued to impress with the theme "Tonight is the Knight," which was evident by their brawny statures and iron gloves. The diverse collection was said to be inspired by the brave medieval knight, with the sophistication of comfortable heroism for the modern-day cavalier. With a collection of fitted tees and polos, button-down shirts and tailored suits, the designs certainly broke the mold of modern menswear with its fresh and edgy details. Check the slideshow for pictures of Ontfront's stylish knight parade!
