Embark on an ultra-glamorous getaway to the Mondrian Hotel located in the heart of Los Angeles. This newly re-designed City of Angels hotspot is not only a home away from home for the hippest of jet setters, but its trendy Sky Bar has even the locals flocking through its edgy "parallel universe" themed lobby doors. The newly re-done boutique hotel truly captures the excitement of the city with quirky furniture, offbeat colors, and inspiration from Los Angeles' natural scenery and skyline. On-site fusion restaurant Asia de Cuba combines Asian flavors and Latino spice with eclectic decor. Giant terracotta pots create an Alice in Wonderland effect surrounding the restaurant's outdoor tables, and its white-on-white interior is chic and spaceship-like all at once. For night time entertainment look no further than up, to the smoking hot Sky Bar perched atop the hotel. The "floating" Sky Bar's night scene looks straight out of an episode of The Hills, complete with pool, lounge furniture, and the twinkling LA skyline. The cool vibe continues in the Mondrian's 237 guest rooms and suites, all of which are filled with sustainable bamboo floors and a decor scheme that can only be described as surrealism meets Hollywood glamour. So the next time you are looking to escape in a major way, book a room at the Mondrian Hotel, and get ready to dine, party, and sleep in style. Vacay Style: Hit the Beach One More Time Before Fall Gets Here!

I don't know about you, but I'm not ready for summer to end. And, frankly, with September being the best beach month of the year, I see no reason to start feeling like Fall's just around the corner. (Fall, I'll welcome you with open arms when it's time to start my 30-Days-Till-Thanksgiving-Mashed-Potatoes Countdown - until then, back off.) So in the spirit of late Summer vacations and wringing every moment of sun and warmth out of my favorite season, I scoured the Web for the best beaches in the US. Turns out, some well-traveled folks have very strong opinions on the subject! Travel and Leisure, for example, loves Cape Cod, Massachusetts for its prime swimming and considers Pfeffer State Beach in Big Sur, California an excellent nature escape. The folks over at Daily Candy love Cape May, New Jersey and Santa Cruz, California for their old school beach town vibe. And Gorp says you'll see the best sunset at Polihale, Hawaii. My latest obsession? Taking the perilous, cliff-side road from San Francisco to gorgeous Stinson Beach...a 3.5-mile dog-friendly stretch of khaki sand with quintessential California coastline views. Summer's not over yet, baby!
