I'm not exactly sure who this 'La Victoire' is, but she is one lucky girl. French shoe label, Pour La Victoire, by shoe designer David Giordano, features a selection of pumps, wedges, boots and other stiletto-ed beauties (and a few flats) that can only be described as burlesque beauty meets daring diva. There new F/W 2010 Collection consists of the sexiest over-the-knee (OTK) and ankle boots, as well spiky stiletto pumps and other amazingly sexy and gorgeous cooler-weather footwear. High quality leathers are used and embellished with seductive fold overs, Victorian-inspired buttons and lace and corset-like lacing and straps and given a contemporary touch with studs and metallic details. Also definitely worth checking out is their bridal collection which is a lot more than your usual white satin pumps affair and less traditional and "here comes the bride", unless of course the bride is Carrie Bradshaw or Dita Von Teese. While everyone on this side of the Atlantic may not be frequent listeners of popular French radio station NRJ, it's a pretty big deal overseas. So big, in fact, that it holds its own annual awards show honoring the best in music (last week's 2010 edition was its 11th), complete with a star-studded red carpet that's strutted by celebrities from all over the globe. Among a crowd of fiercely-attired (and in some cases, scantily clad) Euro natives were some friendly famous faces from the states. Rihanna held her own on the red carpet, as usual, in a floor-length white and silver gown, while model/performer Dita Von Teese's lacy 20's look was no less appreciated in France! Kelly Rowland, who's also nominated for a Grammy this year, was stunning in a satin mini while Fergie stepped up her game overseas with a daring thigh-high slit and exposed zipper dress.
