Feel like having a light bite by the rooftop pool? Go for it. An afternoon of high tea in a luxurious hotel living room? But of course. Or how about celeb-spotting in a fine-dining restaurant? Just have a seat. It seems there were very few indulgences The Peninsula didn't think to include when customizing the dining experience at its Beverly Hills hotel. And as if choosing your preferred atmosphere, be it the Belvedere's elegant dining room or a sweet seat alfresco, weren't enough, you also get a menu that promises fresh, seasonal ingredients. So no matter which seat you select, you're bound to have a first-class dining experience.

The Top 10 Must Haves For Your Turkey Day Table!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and before you think about all the Black Friday deals out there, there's the actual Thanksgiving Day to think of first! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it's one of the few times of the year where my entire extended family comes together for a whole day filled with delicious food. We may have the conventional turkey and cranberry sauce, but my family has been known to roll some sushi rolls or add some stir fry noodles to the mix. If you're starting your own Thanksgiving traditions this year, I'm here to provide the basics for a foolproof holiday from thermometers to serveware. If you have no idea where to start, grab a copy of The New Thanksgiving Table at Crate & Barrel for some creative recipes. Thanksgiving is also all about the decorations so I like things that can do double duty such as the uber cute Pheasant Gravy Boat! Check out my slideshow for more Thanksgiving necessities!

The Notorious B.E.V.Y.: Bevy Smith Dishes On Budget Entertaining

When you're a high-powered publishing executive with a discerning eye for style and a Rolodex that reads like front row at a Marc Jacobs show, what do you do for your second act? For the dynamic Bevy Smith, the answer was to pair her talent as a social conduit with her flair for entertaining and create Dinner With Bevy, a luxury social marketing enterprise that brings together the worlds of fashion, art, music, and media in a delectable, custom salon. Smith, a former Rolling Stone Fashion Ad Director and Vibe Fashion Editor-at-Large, hosts her impeccably curated fetes for celebrities, brands, and tastemakers seeking organic creative connections in a pressure-free environment. On any given evening, you might see Solange Knowles giggling with Paper Magazine Editor-in-Chief Mickey Boardman, or singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton grooving to the sounds of "Late Night" band master and FOB (Friend of Bevy) Questlove with a Vice President from Miu Miu, Giorgio Armani, or Bottega Veneta, all of whom are among the many who have attended Bevy's dinners. "The best part about hosting dinner parties is when my seating chart is a success. To get a call from a guest the next day saying, 'I absolutely LOVED [xxx]!' is the ultimate kudos for me!" Bevy, who is also working on a style show pilot for the Oxygen Network, relies on classic Emily Post, Diana Vreeland's "Why Don't You..." tips, and the swinging gaiety of the 1950s and 60s for style cues. "Whenever I see a movie from that era, or look at a Slim Aarons photograph, I'm instantly inspired by the light-hearted, fun way folks used to entertain! Let's get drunk, smoke, and swap partners--but do so in a chic environment, " she says with a wink and a laugh. "Very 'Breakfast at Tiffany's!'" And who's on Bevy's personal ultimate guest list? "Nelson Mandela, Diana Vreeland, Michael Jackson, Albert Einstein, Truman Capote, and Bono--but even he would have to remove his shades!" Make room, Martha Stewart: Bevy is on a path to be our generation's hostess with the mostest! Check out the slideshow for a glimpse at some of Bevy's exclusive dinners. Hot In The Hive: The Call-To-Dinner Chandelier

The rustic look has never been my cup of tea when it comes to interior design. While there's nothing wrong with wicker furniture and distressed wood, I have a more sleek and modern taste for home decor. So I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the Call-To-Dinner Chandelier and really liked it! A great look in an open kitchen, the dangling forks and spoons would glint in the light as well as cast interesting shadows throughout the room. If you're anything like me and love a healthy dose of modern design, maybe it's time to bring a little bit of the rustic countryside into your life.

    Price: $249
Who: SaraRiley was the first to add the Call-To-Dinner Chandelier to the Hive.

10 Ways For Singles To Treat Themselves On Valentine's Day

    image

So Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and since lately you've been checking the "single" box and your prospects look like they're not going to change in the next 24 hours, you're probably counting down to the day when the "holiday" that Hallmark keeps shoving down our throats is over (and all of that candy becomes ridiculously cheap). So if this applies to you, don't let it get you down-- grab your girls, get dressed up, and make the most of the latest reason to have a little fun on a Thursday night. Be happy you can skip the expensive dinner and overdone romance that many are likely to encounter, and who knows, maybe you'll find a Valentine while you're at it. Don't make that the focus though- just be happy knowing you can have a lot more fun with a lot less stress than those conversation heart-happy couples.

So check out our slideshow of ten ways to treat your single self (and maybe even a few others) on Valentine's Day, and rest assured-- none of them involve arriving at work to find a bouquet that you, uh, anonymously ordered well in advance.
