Just have a seat. It seems there were very few indulgences The Peninsula didn't think to include when customizing the dining experience at its Beverly Hills hotel. And as if choosing your preferred atmosphere, be it the Belvedere's elegant dining room or a sweet seat alfresco, weren't enough, you also get a menu that promises fresh, seasonal ingredients. So no matter which seat you select, you're bound to have a first-class dining experience.

The Notorious B.E.V.Y.: Bevy Smith Dishes On Budget Entertaining

When you're a high-powered publishing executive with a discerning eye for style and a Rolodex that reads like front row at a Marc Jacobs show, what do you do for your second act? For the dynamic Bevy Smith, the answer was to pair her talent as a social conduit with her flair for entertaining and create Dinner With Bevy, a luxury social marketing enterprise that brings together the worlds of fashion, art, music, and media in a delectable, custom salon. Smith, a former Rolling Stone Fashion Ad Director and Vibe Fashion Editor-at-Large, hosts her impeccably curated fetes for celebrities, brands, and tastemakers seeking organic creative connections in a pressure-free environment. On any given evening, you might see Solange Knowles giggling with Paper Magazine Editor-in-Chief Mickey Boardman, or singer-songwriter Vanessa Carlton grooving to the sounds of "Late Night" band master and FOB (Friend of Bevy) Questlove with a Vice President from Miu Miu, Giorgio Armani, or Bottega Veneta, all of whom are among the many who have attended Bevy's dinners. "The best part about hosting dinner parties is when my seating chart is a success. To get a call from a guest the next day saying, 'I absolutely LOVED [xxx]!' is the ultimate kudos for me!" Bevy, who is also working on a style show pilot for the Oxygen Network, relies on classic Emily Post, Diana Vreeland's "Why Don't You..." tips, and the swinging gaiety of the 1950s and 60s for style cues. "Whenever I see a movie from that era, or look at a Slim Aarons photograph, I'm instantly inspired by the light-hearted, fun way folks used to entertain! Let's get drunk, smoke, and swap partners--but do so in a chic environment, " she says with a wink and a laugh. "Very 'Breakfast at Tiffany's!'" And who's on Bevy's personal ultimate guest list? "Nelson Mandela, Diana Vreeland, Michael Jackson, Albert Einstein, Truman Capote, and Bono--but even he would have to remove his shades!" Make room, Martha Stewart: Bevy is on a path to be our generation's hostess with the mostest! Check out the slideshow for a glimpse at some of Bevy's exclusive dinners. Is there anything more relaxing than a tranquil stay at a beach-front home? While it may be hard to venture off to a seaside escape, bringing under-the-sea-inspired home decor and the soothing colors of the ocean into your own living space is easily doable and beneficial to everyone. While an under-the-sea theme usually conjures up the bright colors and cartoon-like sea creatures reminiscent of Disney movies and kids' birthday parties, putting a more tasteful spin on things is easy! Subtle home accessories, peaceful colors and rich, quality materials make you home into a mini-beach front getaway, even if you live in the middle of the city. Click on the slideshow to see some stylish sea-inspired home accents that will help turn your space into a calm and charming Octopus's Garden!

Make A Bold Statement With Colorblock Home Decor

The colorblock craze is one that I like very much. There is nothing more sophisticated than that classic combo of black and white. Bright, solid hues matched with black or each other make for an eye-catching and fashionable ensemble. It's such an easy and appealing way to add interest and color, it's a wonder that it hasn't caught on in home decor as well. Be a trend-setter and apply this tried and true style statement to your home. You can choose a few of your favorite colors and use them in a number of accents. Throw pillows and rugs are an easy way to go and make boring rooms more colorful and energetic. Items like placemats and shower curtains are also fun and easy ways to spruce up your living space and give your home a harmonious theme without having to spend too much! Click on the slideshow for some great colorblock ideas that you can bring into your home!

Hot In The Hive: Ghost Corkscrew By Alessi

Not a day goes by without the Stylehive office busy exchanging links to the newest, cutest, and sometimes really ridiculous (like a $12,000 Balmain jumpsuit). But it's no secret that we all love Alessi products and that our dream homes would be filled with gadgets made by the famed Italian design factory. Our latest find is the Ghost corkscrew designed by Alessandro Mendini. Perfect for Halloween, the ghost corkscrew is a limited edition piece and sure to be a conversation starter when you use this to open up all the bottles of libations at your upcoming Halloween party. In fact, I'd probably use this all year 'round for a bit of Halloween cheer all the time. There are other costumed characters such as a devil, angel, rock star, and king, but the ghost is the one that charmed our hearts!

    Price: $88
Who Found It: facadeindreams was first to add the Ghost Corkscrew By Alessi to the Hive.
