    Influential International Style: Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger knows what's up. As the female lead in Inglorious Basterds, as well as the less recent classics like Troy and Wicker Park, she never fails to sparkle in a performance. Although she won the Cannes Chopard Trophy in 2003, I have to say that her performance at Cannes this year really put her in the stratosphere. Her style is impeccable. She takes risks in interesting sleeves, cutaways, crazy patterns and haute couture texture. She tends to stick with basic black, but chooses outrageous texture and true haute couture. It's no wonder she's Karl Lagerfeld's little darling! One of the reasons she's looked so good lately? Karl himself has used her as a muse since she appeared in Chanel handbag ads in 2007. The CFDA Fashion Awards is one of the few red carpet occasions where A-listers not only wear their favorite designers' dresses, but actually arrive with their favorite designer linked to their elbow! And while the star-studded event, which took place at New York's Lincoln Center and was hosted by funny gal Tracy Ullman, was certainly dedicated to honoring fashion design's finest, the arrival parade highlighted both designers and their famous fans alike. Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, and sister design duo Rodarte were among the night's top winners, while celebrity-couturier pairings like Heidi Klum with Michael Kors and Claire Danes with Narciso Rodriguez, along with other solo arrivals, made the canopy entrance a stylish star-studded sight to behold. Take a look at the slideshow for some of the night's most notable attendees! Photo Credit: PR Photos

Metropolitan Opera recently celebrated their 125th anniversary with a star studded gala in Lincoln Center. The gala honored the opera's 125 year history with over four hours of brief arias to extended scenes, totaling 23 different operas in all! Best part is, the gala raised $6.3 million, which was much needed. However, you don't have to be a fan of the opera to appreciate the event. The red carpet was quite a scene as our favorite celebs came in extremely fashionable droves! From Ginnifer Goodwin, Claire Danes, and Kanye West, there sure was a lot of great clothes and personalities to admire. While it was tough to choose our favorites, we narrowed it down to just four and we want to know what you think? Were you a fan of Diane Kruger's glittering bustier with blue satin skirt? Or maybe Zoe Saldana's dark green silk chiffon strapless number was more your style. Or are you choosing between supermodel Claudia Schiffer and Mary-Kate Olsen who stuck to black that was anything but basic. Vote below and tell us what you think! Photo credit: PR Photos
